Would you guys prefer the Zartan 1/6 figure to change colors or just regular?

I prefer no change...the old school,$5 80's toy version is understandable.....but a $130+ piece and not knowing if it will change back properly(see green faced 25th zartan)...then No

I'd like the color change if possible. I don't think we will see it though.

I don't see why they couldn't. Hasbro figured out how to make him color change back in the 80's and those figures still color change just fine. I think the key is a color changing plastic and not paint though. So he'd have to be cast in a flesh colored plastic and not have a painted skin tone. I just don't want him permanently blue like how Krycek ended up with permanent black eyes that only changed to normal with heat

:lecture:lecture:lecture If they can't do it right, it's not worth doing at all. Though a 2-pack with a completely modular blue nude would be another option. That way you could pick and pull what parts you wanted blue.

Zartan is my favorite character from the GI JOE universe ever since I was a kid. In fact, it's one of my top 3 characters of all franchises. I just can't wait for this figure. I'm not sure about the color changing feature. Of course I would love for the same body to change colors, but if the feature fails and at some point it will stay permanently blue, that would suck ass big time.
My custom elvis1976 Zartan keeps me good company while we wait for Sideshow's version:cool::

Agreed. It's a huge risk if they can't do it right. In a perfect world I would like for it to change colors by itself, but if they can't do it right or perfected it then us GI Joe collectors might be stuck with a Zartan that looks permanently sea sick because the color changing process got stuck half way through. Now the 2-pack idea you mentioned sounds like a great idea and a whole lot safer. Also Sideshow offering a blue Zartan as a SDCC Exclusive like karamazov80 suggested would be good idea to. Whichever way Sideshow goes I'll be looking forward to Zartan in 1/6 just as much as I'm looking forward to Destro in 1/6.

Color change is a cool feature, but I really only care about a great overall looking figure.

I think making one in solid "blue" might be better than a color changing feature. No reason they could just do what they did with the ex. HT Bruce Lee and include a solid blue buck as the Ex.

nice to see that Zartan is coming soon! :rock

I'm late to the SS Joe gang, so I know Snake Eyes is out of the question, but I definitely want o start collecting these guys, starting with my fav character Flint then Commander and a so on

I always love how butthurt newbies are when they come to this board.
