That is one amazing display you got there, Mag.
I'm still not a big fan of the Takara head, but your mods to the body look great.I'll get a new Detolf this weekend, I think my OC Bats needs his own shelf again, too.

Yeah, the head is the only weak spot. I have decided to not have any re-sculpting done, as I like the joint at the neck because I like to be able to turn the head like so:
I think the only change I would make at this point is to have somebody repaint the head and cowl.

I hate how small the head is compared to Hot Toys figures.
yea I compared the head to my DX and it's a tad smaller. but not so much that one looks odd next to the other.

Albeit the DX head is narrower than it should be.
oh i wasn't talking about the DX being narrower. sorry for that but you're probably right about it though. but over all the Takara head is smaller than the DX one

While this may have been a good figure for its time (nice display Mag btw), I have to say it is in no way comparable to the OC Batman, about the only thing this has over OC Batman is the gauntlets look more accurate with the shinier material. But that's about it.

BTW: I was playing with my Takara a little around yesterday. I switched his boots to Hot Toys and it was hughe improvement to the complete figure. (Unfortunatly I realized that the whole where you push the peg in of the left boot has an error - wonder if HT will still do a replacement...

Hey the Takara facial color/tone is really poor when next to my DX Batman. Can anyone recommend someone on the board here that could repaint him for me at a reasonable price?

There was someone at OSW (zebraten, iirc) who made a tutorial about repainting a figure using cheap facial make-up
Looks really great, anyone can do it, and if ever you f@ck it up, you can just wipe it off and start over
