I found some pics by searching yahoo of the decals. So, I am designing the decals in one of my art programs on the computer. Some of the Navy decals are pretty simple to make and I plan on buying waterslide decal paper; that come in white or clear, sheets. Which I would have to buy white sheets, because printer ink can't printout white color. Once I get the figure and get the size of the decals right, then I don't have any problem helping people out. I just want to make sure it is going to look right on the figure itself, before I offer to do this. I ordered mine from Sideshow, so I will most likely be waiting a month for this to come in. I will post some pics when I get the decals designed on the computer, so you can see if you like what was designed. I should have some pics by next week.

Sounds awesome.
Could we do an arrangement/buisness then?!

I thought about painting them directly, but that´s way to dangerous, even with my steady hands.

I wouldn't have a problem with that. I also thought about painting, but I would not forgive myself if I messed up. At least with decals you can have some movement to get them into the right place before it sets.

Absolutly and then it looks awesome and little scratches like it´s supposed to be...like...even more, acurate to the movie, can be painted, you know?

Cause this is a case where mistakes are forgiven and it still looks acurate...

Are you a hostile ____ by choice, or is it medical?

Ouh, come on...don´t start b******´ over some little like that.
It´s important for Mast to get that pose, it doesn´t work...he made his choice...we´re all grown ups here.

If he regrets it afterwards, well then that´s the case, if not...then he´ll enjoy his choice and we enjoy ours...and WM.

Period.

Not sure how the water-slide decals will work. if you use the white ones then you will have to fill the "clear" areas with an exact color match to the body to look right. Be interesting to see if you can pull it off.

Unless some new in-hand photo convinces me that this figure has some kick-ass hidden articulation that no one has managed to show off yet, I think I too am going to pass on this figure and hope for a battle-damaged version with a slew of improvements down the road. He's very cool, but he just doesn't quite have enough going on for me to justify the price. And while a battle-damaged version may never come, they'll likely release a new-and-improved War Machine alongside the Avengers movie in 2012. Worst-case scenario, I have to wait until the Fall of 2013 when Iron Man 3 is released.

I keep a pretty lean collection (only six figures so far) and don't want to expand it with figures I have reservations about. That's not to say he isn't an impressive figure as-is of course; he's just not $179 impressive (to me).

why didnt ht stick to the pinkish led light of the proto for the eyes? the red light now seems toyish.

@spanbauer - pray tell, what 6 figures do you own(i'm guessing one is eb's jack bauer)? i'm just curious.

Really nice mod and repaint on the WM by BBQ

Evilface is the man for decals if Endo can get the size and quality spot on.

You got it a little wrong there, Bob.
Firebird maybe will make the decals when he got it figured out, that´s how I understood it and when it´s no problem to apply´ em.

Just cut them realy close to the edges of the actual logo and get it on.
There´s is no white or clear seen when you do it right.
I got a little experience going on there...
