Just the perspective I think. And since you're using the T-800 body the legs would be too long if anything. Maybe the pants of your John matrix custom don't ride up into the crotch quite as much as T-800s leather trousers?

Yeah it must be perspective, they look just right in hand. They're actually pretty similar to the leather pants from the T-800 figure, for some reason though, the leather t-800 pants don't make his ass look as big as these pants do!
This custom is full of win

A cool headsculpt, too I think! There's a shed load of custom figures of this character done over on OSW so I won't be short on help! It is AK waters from Tears of the Sun.

Yeah it's a great head, probably the best bald bruce going?
Always loved Tears of the Sun and always wanted to make AK waters (willis) from it. There was never a good head till that one came along though I don't think.
There was a set that came out years ago but of course with my luck it was extremely limited so it's harder to find than chicken's teeth!

Why aren't you using Daniel's Die Hard 4 Bruce sculpt? It blows that other one out of the water!

The aim is for it to be a simple one, so I guess i'll make do with the one from e-bay. Plus the one on e-bay has stubble which is spot on for the look i'm going for. I definitely have to think again about this being the best bald bruce sculpt out there though!

Me too, the sculpt isn't a bad likeness at all, and buying Daniel's and getting it painted is definitely more costly.
