I bought a 429 lumens LED bulb equivalent to a 40w from Home Depot and its very dim. I return it and ordered a 60w from Radio Shack. They also have a 100w. I will be receiving it on Friday and will update on how bright it is.

Well... they feel and look quite nice! Haha... and supposedly will last 10+ years. Along with peace of mind.

problem is in 10 years I replace maybe 1 burned regular bulb per lamp But for our figures nothing is too good

Took a break from work and opted to go for a short toy appreciation time (nerdgasm?). Held both my mark 2 and 3bd and stared at them for minutes. After all these months (and a slightly discolored abs) i am still amazed at how good they feel in my hands, how breath taking the craftsmanship on them. Not toys at all but museum pieces, (IMHO).

And that little session made my mind about also getting the mark IV now which i'm really wanting to skip in favor of VI.

Well, I've replaced the Phillips LED bulb with an Ecosmart LED bulb... it's a lot brighter and only $20. I'd recommend this Ecosmart LED A19.

Yep. I haven't taken mine out yet, just looked at it through the plastic and he looks fine. The box has minor wear. The tape is still intact.

I recently purchased the Iron Man Mark III BD through GoHastings. I was lucky enough to pick him up when they had the sale price of $146.39 with $5.65 shipping. I was pleased that I received an unopened one in perfect condition. It was just dumb luck since it was horribly packed though. Just thrown in a box that barely had tape holding it closed. It's my understanding that they fulfill from stock at their brick and morter stores. Sometimes people get ones that have been on display. I guess it's luck of the draw. For their prices, I think it's worth the risk. Heck, I just bought a Harvey Dent at Amazon that's being fulfilled by GoHastings.
Hopefully your Iron Man will come in perfect condition.

Oh, I also had a sheet of tissue between the two sections. So I'm pretty confident it's MIB with a average condition box.

my second iron man mIII bd was "pink". look at the picture. and it was a new one from a dealer! i sent him back to ht. tooks 4 weeks till they got the parcel. now i takes 6 weeks to get him back

i just sent the body. it is very hard to pull off his limps

Lame, opened mine and one of the pieces on his foot was broken. The little piece is just rattling inside and the part it held wont stay anymore. Hope gohastings can replace it.

The abs and lower area is definitely rubber though. Very shiney painted rubber.

oh boy, now I'm concern about getting the Mark 4 all over again. If fading is going to be a problem for Mark 4, I might need to cancel my pre-order at toys2....assuming they allow cancellation

They do but there's a penalty. A 10% cancelation fee.

Nice.

After holding him in-hand. I have no idea why the abs are so long and thin and rubber. He barely has any articulation there.

Thanks! Mine still has little articulation in the abs, but he looks a hell of a lot better.
