...man id still like to pick me up a FvJ PF.
Only thing that turned me away from this was the totally wrong inaccurate sculpt under the mask. But, if I do find one real cheap, then I might reconsider.

Ill send you the pieces of mine, you'll just have to glue it back together. Should save a ton on shipping though....man id still like to pick me up a FvJ PF.
If he comes with a pink machete i'll still get it! Die hard fans for the win!
Yeah, we better wait for the full reveal.
Then JVF Jason is getting the f'n hammer baby

I agree. He looks so harmless...has a "sad" look to him. I remember when I originally received the EX from Sideshow thinking that it looked like a depressed Toxic Avenger. The size is impressive though - and for all these years (until several months from now) it's been the only way to have Jason in this scale.
Here's to hoping there's an onslaught of items released from I-V so I won't have to buy another FVJ item ever again out of desperation to get a Jason fix.
Pt. III PF can't get here soon enough!!!
.
But how? He was never unmasked in FvsJ. Was he?
No he was not. At the time none of the manufactures had the actual undermask pics that was made but never shown. The sculpt that was used for the PF and Neca versions was a picture going around the internet. Only until recently it was revealed that the picture was a photoshop picture and not the correct face/under mask. Here was the original mask that was created and Ken did wear it but was either never used or just never showned.
I dont understand the whole "elite vs. garbage can diggers" mentality. I have about 15-16 pfs from Marvel to Universal Monsters. I enjoy the quality of the high end items, and my talents at slinging paint usually help me get what I want without paying so much $$$.
But I also like lines like NECA's new Predator action figure line. I happen to like a lot of different things. I am sure some folks would want to pitch my AZRAK 1970's Monsters figures in the trash because they are primitive compared to the beauty of Sideshow's pF Universal Monster line. But I love them anyway. I am not poor, I am not rich, but I enjoy quality from both ends of the spectrum. From cheap action figures to premium format and the garage kits that fall somewhere in between.
For the record though---I prefer the nicer items, but buy all sorts of nice things, regardless of whether or not they cost $400 or $20
That can't be the face. Jason's mask was removed to show his mouth, and it wasn't pink, and the mouth was different. Honestly the SS PF and NECA makes sense, but not this.

I think you're missing the point of it. NECA's pieces are great for $15 toys, but they don't compare to high-end collectibles and shouldn't be compared. While there are overlaps, they're marketed to two completely different markets. I don't see you defending a Bendy Bendie Frankenstein's Monster headsculpt as being far superior to Sideshow's 12" sculpt of Karloff as the Monster. And that's essentially the heart of the argument.
AHHHHH, I see where you are coming from. There's no comparison. For the record, I like NECA's Predator, but would never compare them to the Sideshow diorama I have or the Hot Toys figure. Different leagues altogether.
