All you OT elitists crack me up. There are other collectors out there that want something different as well but the hell with them why should they get thrown a bone once in awhile. You are as narrow minded as the Jedi's and they almost got wiped out.

Don't get me wrong, I want to fill out the core OT characters as well but I don't get all the pissing, moaning and complaining every time something not OT is announced. The droids have had the WIP pictures shown and at least Chewy, Stormtrooper and Emperor among others have been addressed in the Q&A's as being in the pipeline. It isn't like they are never going to get made so why get all worked up about it and make it seem like the world is coming to an end?

I don't have a problem with the questioning of the character selection but the sculpt should not be getting crapped on like it is just because it is not a character you want. This isn't on the top of my list either but I enjoy the sculpt and appreciate the work put into it. I am not going to crap on SS or the artists work because of it. It just gets old reading the same crap all the time. It takes a lot of the fun out of reading the board and trying to have civil conversations with fellow collectors in the community.

Well, it's a quality piece in terms of craftmanship. I'm not saying they did a bad job on a good concept--they did a good job on a bad concept.

Something this bizarre and obscure should not have made it into the PF line. But if this is what sells, then I guess I'll just have to sit back and wish that both versions of the Tusken Raider weren't still in stock.

Interesting, I love darth maul but I like my Ep 1 PF better. Its nice they have something for every collector out there, this just isnt for me.

Actually, VISIONARIES is technically "Inifnities" stories, which means it's not even EU canon. It's even less relevant than the EU.

That is also true but I think as I said before that Lucas might have some surprises about this Maul!

And considering the Tusken is one of the best Premium Format Figures It is really strange still being available... as for me I have 2 Tusken!

I'm going out on a limb here and saying content aside, the craftsmanship and details in this piece is phenomenal. Anytime SS does Maul, they capture Ray Park in the makeup almost flawlessly.

Even this character being way out there and extremely obscure, I ordered the Ex just based on the quality, sculpt and design work.

I think arguing is fruitless because it's really an each to their own. A lot of hate for this piece and I think it looks great, and at the same time I hate the newest Thor LSB and everyone else loves it. It's really about personal taste.

Feel like this may become the next Thanos to where it either grows on people and they order or once it's sold out and they can't get one, they will want it even more.

And personally, per the list of 100, I'd take this over -"Episode I Anakin w/ podracer gear" in a heartbeat.

Oh nash. The funny thing is that this isn't even about what's right or wrong but more of a wtf? decision. Again, I am talking overall choice and personal appeal. Not artistry. It looks very nice but odd, like they made the Bespin Ice Cream guy.

To me a piece like the Tusken still being in stock kind of justifies SS trying something out of the box? If the conventional characters are being offered on Second chance Luke, Tusken, and EU characters are being sold out solid, naturally they will make business decisions to explore more of what makes money and moves product. I'm on board with seeing some main characters that have never been done, I'm just saying this may be driving some of the fear behind not doing them, or not doing them yet.

This is the most unusual piece in PF form I've ever seen.

I thought cyborg Maul was a fan fantasy, I didn't even know there was a real story behind it.

I'm not sure what to make of this. It looks good for what it is, but it also looks really weird... like someone's custom dream-fantasy about Maul.

But yes, it will probably sell out quickly.

As others have said it's a fantastically executed piece that looks pretty badass and there really is nothing wrong with it as a collectable.

For me the problem is the character itself. I just think that the whole idea of Maul surviving after being cut in half and falling down a seemingly bottomless pit, then having cybernetic legs attached and growing antlers is pathetic.

At least Talon’s story and appearance is fairly believable, this just seems like a desperate and unoriginal attempt to resurrect a popular character that should have stayed dead.

Of course that’s just my opinion. If you like the character and the backstory, or if you don’t really care and are just happy to own something that looks pretty cool then it’s a nice piece to have I guess.
