Your rogues look really interesting. I love those pictures.
I really dig that scarecrow suit. I'm gunna give this a shot one of these days.

Bit off topic...does anyone know of any hair tutorials floating around anywhere?

Thanks!

The recipe for the scarecrow suit is quite straightforward - its a HT BR Joker suit, weathered to bits by Elvis1976, along with a brown shirt I got off ebay, also weathered to bits by him.

The Boots are again, you guessed it, off ebay, they came weathered already with mud marks which works great.

Just missing a tie and maybe a belt. Anyone have any suggestions?

Actually i'm finishing some right now for fellow friends and after that i won't make them anymore.
Just way too much time.
Unofrtunately i cannot make any tutorial because each one is hand stitched by hand.

Are you honoring that list from way back when or not? I know you're retired but would love to get one of these still and eventually a Ra's.

Can you let me know what fabric you use? I can't seem to find one that is thin enough to wrap around the head but thick enough to look realistic.

I have finished 3 more for some frinds of mine.
I will make some more but won't make all that list.
It's just undoable.
BUT I will make some more from time to time and put them up for sale when they are ready.

And where will you be putting them up for sale? Notify us all here? In the commerce section? eBay? I don't wanna miss out if you're selling them to just anyone! It's too good to pass up.

If it will available for sale, please count me in.:pray::pray:

Well actually they won't be a list for those i'm gonna sell.
I will make some from time to time and put them in the for sale thread.
First come first served basis.

void, not sure if you're digging this idea, but I think for your scarecrow you should add gloves and a briefcase, and maybe some rags for the suit.

Like the idea of briefcase - but would gloves be screen accurate? Did he wear any in either film? I don't seem to recall him wearing gloves.

And what do you mean by rags for the suit?

Any suggestions where to get a briefcase? Thanks for the input!

For the last six months, I have been researching techniques in 1/6 scale sewing, weathering, dyeing, and customizing, all in the hopes of perfecting a Scarecrow mask.

I've sourced unique fabrics, threads, and other materials, I've identified and collected every existing image of the movie masks, I've identified nearly every fold and seam, and I've developed several new techniques on my own, in my quest to make a movie-accurate Scarecrow mask.

Seb's mask is great - in fact, it's the best currently out there. But it's no longer widely available and it also isn't strictly movie accurate in the rear - the front looks damn near perfect, but the rear folds and buckled straps do not match the collection of screencaps and costume images I have.

My goal is to finish the process and streamline it, so that I can offer it to others for a price that isn't outrageous. At this point, I'd say I'm 90% done. I'll certainly share pics when it is done, hopefully in the next few weeks - and after that, I'll make them available to anyone interested on these message boards.

Incidentally, I believe there are minor differences between the "Batman Begins" mask and the "The Dark Knight" mask - I'll likely be making both versions available.

So fear not, SanShouXMA and others, for movie accurate masks will hopefully once again be available soon!

(After this, I'll be working on a Scarecrow straitjacket, for which I've already sourced the appropriate fabric)

What ever happened with this bro? :)

Oh sorry no. They aren't screen accurate, I was just suggesting ideas for making it half Nolan, half your own. Did he wear the brown shirt in the film?

I'll look for a briefcase, as for rags, I meant like torn pieces of cloth to put on his clothes to make him more raggedy like a scarecrow.

Still working on it, don't worry.

Things have been delaying me for a variety of reasons. When I last discussed the project, I was due to come home from a long business trip out of town - turns out I had to extend my trip for another 6 weeks. That was rough.

More specific to the project, I've discovered that the fabric I had chosen was just a bit too thick to get just the right folds in the back, so that set me back a bit as well (though it might work perfect for a strait-jacket material).

Good news, though - I think I've discovered a material that will do the job. It's thinner, but still has the right texture and dyes just as well.

Meanwhile, I've finished my previous real-life job and won't be leaving town again in the foreseeable future. And I've recently started my new job, which features lots of down-time, so I can relax and focus on projects like this.

I've actually been meaning to make a push on this specific project throughout the next week. No promises, but I might have a prototype mask to show off in a week and a half or so.
