Looks great! I got mine from someone off here not more than 3 months ago. Got myself the Gauntlet, Helm, and the MR One Ring. If you don't have it, I highly suggest it. It is beautiful, and the glow on that thing when you activate it is.. just amazing. And for 200 or under nowadays, it's a steal!

Great pics, and congrats again!

Thanks to all!

@Husker75
You mean, the MR One Ring has a battery for the glow? kewl! I thought, why hunting for the finger when I can get the whole hand! :lol

Yeah, don't get me wrong, the gauntlet is amazing! But the way the ring on the MR looks clean and solid, and then flickers to life like it was just plucked from the ashes.. it is shiver inducing to me. It just took me to that moment from the film perfectly, and is a real "awe" inducer! :)

Definitely AWESOME pieces! And I hear that person is a great seller and all around cool guy... :monkey3 :D

As others have mentioned the MR ring is truly special, and I'd also recommend the SS/Weta Statue if you are looking for a great "full body" representation.

And you cant forget these 2 for the ULTIMATE Sauron collection! :lol

I used to have the UC Helm of Sauron; it was the centerpiece of my collection and I managed to pick it up for just over $100 (mint condition too)! A financial squeeze sent it on its way to another home:monkey2 but I hope to add it back to my collection someday.

I also hope and pray that United Cutlery someday releases a "Sword of Sauron". It was in the plan to do it a few years ago (it even got an item number) but they decided not to go through with it. As far as something to represent the spiky, twisted things that come out of Mordor, you can't get any better than that sword!

Here's a pic:

Congrats on the nice pick-ups! :rock

I'd love to get that Gauntlet one of these days...:yess:

Whoa, thats way cool, but, did we ever see this in any versions of the film? :huh

I've been hoping somebody (anybody!) would make a Sauron Mace, but it looks like I may have to just tackle that beast of a project myself one of these days... :slap

Its crazy how much cool stuff there already is though for a character who literally had like 20 seconds of screen time in a 10 hour film series...

There's a scene in "Return Of The King", when Gandalf is telling Pippin about the Witchking, that the camera scans an armoury of weapons (inside of Minas Morgul) before showing orcs getting the WK ready for battle. The sword is there for a brief shot. In the extended edition's appendices, they talk about Aragorn's Black Gate fight with a Battle Troll originally being with Sauron instead. In that, they show some of the original footage that was shot and the sword is quite prominent.

Basically, it ended up with a 2 second "cameo" when it could have been a prominent weapon of the film and a lot of us would probably have it in our collection today. I'm glad that they aborted the Sauron fight though; it would have been too removed from the book.

There's a video on YouTube titled, "A Brief History of LOTR Collectibles" that shows most of the current United Cutlery LOTR items plus additional items that UC has apparently considered in the past. The Mace of Sauron is included in that, complete with a display stand. The Sword of Sauron even has a plaque, sporting "The Eye" in the middle of it. Other items include the Sword of Eomer (Guthwine), The Dagger of Arwen, Dagger of Grima Wormtongue, Throwing Axe of Gimli, Sword of Denethor and Sword of Theodred (son of Theoden). No idea where the poster got the pics but they appear to have been taken by the same photographers who do UC's stuff.:dunno

WHY did you share this info with me? WHY did I go and see this video? That was one of the most heart crushing things this LotR fan has ever seen in his collecting life... :gah:

I was at least content believing that the items simply "never existed". But to see full prototypes (with STANDS!!) makes me physically ill... :yuck

I would pay $1K for that Mace, right now, no questions... Who do I have to bribe? Who do I have to kill?

You can clearly see when the line ended, and all the upcoming items that were lost, never to be released... :monkey2
Although the WK Dagger somehow did make it out just recently as well, even though United Cutlery's site lists NO LotR stuff anymore... :huh

You reacted about the way I did when I first saw the video - shock:horror to disbelief:eek:, anxiety:panic: then on to depression and finally collapse:thud:. Isn't this a fun hobby?!

:D :1-1::hi5:

They are soooo cool!

And yeah, i don't know about that sword. It is cool, and I remember seeing the pics in the dvds.. but you are right. the MACE is what I crave. It would be amazing.

The only fan made one i've ever seen was something either buried on here, or on the RPF. Probably the RPF!

I refuse to rewatch those videos though, i know it will just make me more jealous and covet even more goodies that I can't afford!
