I agree with you. Bats will get his ass kicked at the first encounter. But in the 2nd round he would take Blade out.

That's not Blade That's Wesker. I did have a shot with Bats and Blade earlier though.

My bad Biojex I did remember you posting one with Blade and while looking at the picture I was too busy admiring Batman that I thought it was Blade. But if Chris and Sheeva can out smart Wesker, I have no doubt Bats can do so as well. BTW, love you pictures.

My bad Biojex I did remember you posting one with Blade and while looking at the picture I was too busy admiring Batman that I thought it was Blade. But if Chris and Sheeva can out smart Wesker, I have no doubt Bats can do so as well. BTW, love you pictures.

I have mixed feelings about lforigno's cape right now. I am not dising him, because I know a lot of people love his cape, and it is just a matter of personal taste.

The shape is dramatically different than the Hot Toys cape:

I don't know which is more accurate (and that has never been a priority for me). The lforigno definitely hangs more naturally but the HT cape is longer (the way I like to to drape it anyway...) Also the fact that the HT cape is thicker helps to build up Bat's shoulders and minimize the appearance of a giraffe neck.

Thanks for posting that, I've been wondering what the pattern of the new cape was as i've been experimenting with the laser cutter at work. Would you mind posting a closeup pic of one of the clips? The laser cuts plastic too, so I may be able to make them to go with my custom cape.

Just checked the figure out quite a bit. The box says distributed by Diamond, so I think I am Ok. Plus, like I said earlier it has the hard plastic.

Great figure, the head sculpts are all right on. I love all the accessories. When I finally have all my figures set up, it'll definitely look sharp. I love these figures. I just wish Hot Toys did the Scarecrow for this line....

For everyone with a custom cape, what are you using as attachments? Are you using the plastic tabs from the original cap and sewing/gluing these into the new cape?

Hey guys. Unfortunately, the DX Base shorted out. One of the wires wasn't properly soldered, and I put a little wear and tear onto it replacing the bulb.

Does anyone have an extra base they're willing to part with? Even one of the Joker bases (I could probably swap out the faceplate)? I know it's a long shot, but I'd love to have a base in pristine condition for display. PM me, if you do, and what you'd like in exchange.

im alittle behind on the time with the dx line. what is the major issue with it . also im reading about different batches . so if im going to pick one up what am i looking for, where the batch came from or what . Why does it matter how inaccurate it looks laid flat out. You're never going to pose it like that. Yes I know it's not a priority to you.

As you said, it's preference.

1. I don't like the texture of the Hot Toys cape. It reminds me of a sponge. From that it looks cheap and toy like because of the texture.

2. It makes me think of a giant black towel. Coarse and stiff. As Nolan said it's suppose to look like a light fabric garment. Not a thick looking black towel that he's going to be lugging around.

3. No V cut at the back for Hot Toys which makes it look even worse with the texture of the cape. Home made looking black towel.

4. The custom capes drape beautifully. Only buddylee's peek daylight through. Thats only if you're going to have bright light behind it. Thats the one thats in my hand below.

It's impossible to do this with a Hot Toys cape:

Wish the custom I got looked like that. When i drap it back like that only the middle part touches the ground and the lateral parts are about a half inch above ground. Looks like a "V".

Once I've looked at my current post a couple more days I'll put the lforigno cape back on and take a pic to show what i mean.

Also, the lforigno cape shows through lots of light, just like the Takara cape.

Thanks for the comments vodoun but I do not expect everyone to like my capes I respect everyones opinions. I must say though maglor that the material used for yours is the exact same used on vodouns and most others.

Yeah, though I did ask him for a slightly longer short cape so it would look like a long curtain right down to the floor but not trailing too far like TDK promo shots.

His really crazy long cape is on the Batman Begins figure.

Vodoun ordered a batman begins cape for the begins figure and then ordered a regular TDK cape and then a seperate Long TDK cape

While we're talkin' capes, I just recieved my figure from BBTS, no oil any where I'm happy to report, but what is the trick to getting the cape tabs in place? Is it simple brute force? the instruction booklet is this than helpful. I can't seem to get them to "lock in". Are they even supposed to? Any help from any of you would be most appreciated.

I now own 7 (9 if you count Tony Stark and Cop Joker) Hot Toys figures, with several more on order. Have to say I'm thrilled with the likenesses and the overall quality, and send a very sarcastic "big thanks" out to Hasbro for screwing up Marvel Legends, and Sideshow for dropping LOTR 1/6 scale figures.
I'm thrilled with my new plastic crack, even if my wallet isn't.
