As far as I am aware, the Mattel artists actually have very little knowledge of the brands they work on.

That's for sure.

One thing (of many) that frustrates me about these figures is the trap. Why did they make the cord so short. It doesn't make sense. They're not 'movie accurate', and if you're busting a ghost, you're not going to be 3 feet away from it. : P And the spring-open mechanism sucks. I'd rather have had doors that don't look so cumbersome that we could perhaps open manually.

Uhg, I'm in such a love/hate relationship with these friggin figures! Why oh WHY couldn't Hot Toys have picked up this license!? :censored

Yeah, the trap could've been far far better.
I really don't see why they couldn't open the trop via the foot pad.
A start up sound on the back packs would've been sweet too.

Still, he was only $60 and I really really like him.
Don't put him in the Hot Toys cabinet though as he looks really out of place in a whole bunch of ways.:lol

:exactly:Agreed. I have my GB Team on a shelf by themselves. They look great together but they would not fit in with any of my other figs.

As is, I agree, but customized with Spenser's heads repainted by Josh, Saturday Toys flightsuits, Newline boots and cloth web-belts...THEN you could proudly display them with the Hot Toys stuff! That's my plan. :wave

I thought the same thing about the Proton pack too, I've been using this sound

ya just gotta click play and press the button on the bottom of the pack at the same time :lol

Kindest regards

I wonder what happened with the Walter Peck figure with the containment unit?

The release date on it went from May 17 to June 15! :gah:

I wonder why Mattel pushed it back almost 2 months.

Uh, I just checked Matty and its still going on sale May 17, Monday. Don't know where ya heard this from pal??

That was weird. A few nights ago on the page showing Peck with all of the other Ghostbusters, it said June 15 next to him. Then at the top in the middle of the page it had the picture of him and it said May 17. Oh well....good to see it's been corrected now to May 17.

Got my Containment Unit!!!

Oh and Peck!!! :lol!!

I actually really want the Peck figure (I'm biased though because ghostbusters is my favorite movie) but I could see if somebody isnt a diehard fan how they could pass him up. The containment unit is just too awesome to pass up either way :yess:
