well i guess we'll have to wait till nov. to get p1 and elder 2,
and the next spring to get city predator 2,this is crazy, to have to wait and wait.

Are there rumors that the movie may get a bump?
just a guess based on Predators being a summer release of a scifi-action sequel that isn't Star Wars.
studios like to push those back to late summer/fall so they don't lose as much $$.

i'm just saying, don't be surprised.

Serious? One of the "Commitment-tits"?! Hey its alright I erm..objectively acknowledge the physical attractiveness of 2 or 3 of my cousins. :lol

I have no relatives who were ever in the biz. However I did go to school with a guy whose cousin is Alison Doody who was in Indiana Jones and the last crusade!

Anyway, I really should go asleep, I think the sunrise is a sign.

Yeah, the Commitment-tit that they all loved :lol what can I say looks run in the family :) she didnt do much after that, she was a model for beauty and the beast i.e she acted out the scenes with some guy so the animators could watch clothes movement and all that. I actually had a few more distant relatives in that movie too, kinda like Braveheart, I thought everyone here knew someone in it! :)

I never personally knew anyone in it but my dad used to be in a band called 'Stepaside' and Robert Arkins, the band manager in Commitments, played with them for awhile too. I vaguely remember him, though I was a child at the time.

And speaking of Braveheart, a neighbour who has since died played a 2nd in command in one of the English armies...can't remember which battle.

I hope for all our sakes, ToyWiz will be wrong this time... Jeez, NECA usually releases these prior to the movie! June isn't too hard to expect, is it? Not when they've put out Clash of the Titans, Nightmare on Elm Street, and Jonah Hex figures this soon!

/me wishes Tankman would give us some hope :monkey3.

Not sure yet if I'll buy Predators figures. I'm wary of jumping on the hype bandwagon again and regretting it later. Lately I find myself wishing the figures for these films wouldn't come out till after the film has been out.

Well NECA's not like Hot Toys, even if the figures come out in June, you can easily afford to wait until July to buy these figures after you judge the film, they're not going to fly off shelves, I can't think of any NECA figure not easily had even a year after it's come out.

I actually primarily had Hot Toys in mind, forgetting what thread I was in. Certainly the NECA ones would be an easier buy that wouldn't break the bank...least not till you start going into all the unmasked/open-closed mandibles/cloaked/partially cloaked variations :lol

Well, Hot Toys is steam rolling with Iron Man 2 at the moment so I don't see Predators happening until late summer/fall probably. In general though, even though they rush to have things ordered before release, I can't think of a figure that's shipped before the film's out, as long as you order somewhere that has cancellation flexibility, no harm ordering and then cancelling if you're let down by the movie.

even if the movie sux, which i don't believe it will, i'm going to buy the figures anyway.
bet i will too.
it can't be as bad as AVP/AVPR and i ran out and bought the figures from those.
the real question is will i keep them. i kinda doubt it once the P1 and elder come out.
so if anyone is looking for Predators figures around 4th quarter this year, hit me up.

I'm kinda curious as to why the "berserker" predator is $1.00 more than the other two???

Toywiz has a habit of over-pricing different things based on what they think the popular design would be. So even if two figures come from the same line (and even if they're cheap, like under $20), one will probably be more expensive than the other. I've never really liked Toywiz, as a result. Not to mention these are the kinds of guys who'd sell HT P2 Elders for $700-$800, when no one will ever buy them. It's ridonkulous.

A good example is Mattel's 12" Ghostbusters figures. Originally $60 from Matty online only a couple of months ago, Ray & Egon are going for over $150 apiece at Toywiz at the moment. Scalperish? I'd call that a big "yes".

Here's your sneak peek.

I am a bit confused though, as they're obviously showing the P1 Pred fig.

I thought it would be the new "classic/captured" Pred from the PREDATORS film.

Kyle, any chance you can explain this to us?
