SSC Duke 12 inch figure

Funny side note: When I first opened the shipping package and looked at the box (again, the packaging for this line owns) it kinda felt like I had just received a Khev figure. You and that damn forum avatar.

I thought that too. The helmet just screams "Hawk" a bit too much for me anyway.

I did say "slightly"... It's just something I get when looking at the sculpts... Might just be me?

I really get that from the Beachhead sculpt, and a little from the Flint sculpt, just not from Duke. The paint isn't doing the head sculpt underneath service.

Are there any pics of the Duke head unpainted?

I cancelled my Flint EX because the head sculpt just was NOT growing on me. Duke isn't that bad with his helmet on, but without it we have Small Soldiers + Ted Danson.

I feel the same about Flint but I'm hoping the production will improve it a bit, and if not I'll be looking for a replacement head.
I wasn't the biggest fan of Flint's '85 toy, but The cartoon Flint was my favorite character so I must get him.

Since nobody else has done it, I suppose I'll post some comparison pics of Duke's body next to a TT. Here's the taller TT Wesker body next to the Duke Pro 1.2:

Duke's body is exactly as tall as Wesker's with the long neck peg used.

FREAKIN UPS!!! They sent my Duke to Maryland, problem is that I live in Vegas, so now I have to wait until thursday (a week late), I hope it doesn't get messed up in all the unnecessary traveling it had to take.

Just got my ex. yesterday. It looks better in person. Happy with this figure, and this figures sculpt and paint met my expectation. Think you'll be happy with Duke BuddyGus.

I received my Duke yesterday and I must say that the paint job isn't as bad as the pictures so far have made it look. Sure it's not the best they could have done but it certainly isn't the worst. I'm sorry I can't take any better pictures myself.

The hair definitely looks much better in person (too many people using that damn flash). SS should have added a wash to give more depth to the hair detail, but the detailed sculpt of the hair makes up for it. My advise to SS, loose the doll dot and they should have added more tones of paint to the hair (all in all though, Duke is a winner).

Oh, and by the way, Duke does not look like he was modeled after Chip Hazard. Chip Hazard looks like he was modeled after Duke. Duke was around 20 years before Chip...well...10-15 years at least.

A quick look at war-toys.com didn't show any that looked similar to Dukes. I would have to think there is someone that made a modern looking set similar to these.

At this point, I'd say if you're looking for binoculars, just pick up a standard set. TA has some and they're all over EbaY.

These would not be a perfect option...but you could do a lot worse.
