Well I think they wanted to set out to make this as differant as a possible from a 2nd BD version which is why they didn't include the black shirt at first, and the bullet holes etc.

That doesn't make sense though, he was BD in the grey shirt, if anything, it would have been black only in this set, include a grey in a BD set and put the endo arm in this one like they've done and possibly entice people to buy the BD to get the spare shirt for a Cyberdyne mix.

Correct, which is why it seemed odd to only be the grey shirt when it debuted, because the only thing in the set tied to him having the grey shirt really is the Endo arm, everything else is more tied to the black shirt, especially the roses.

But if you really only care about one, there's not much sense buying a figure just because it might be the only one made, that'll likely end up with you wanting to sell the figure later because you're not crazy about it and could use the money for something you are crazy about.

If this was another property, I would totally agree. Leonidas for example, I had to order it. That was a potential regret situation. With the popularity of T2, and Hot Toys' love for everything terminator, we all know another version is coming. The only risk I run is if that second version comes out with an unfortunate flaw (ie: DX02) and I go to grab the original and the prices are through the roof.

With the popularity of T2, and Hot Toys' love for everything terminator, we all know another version is coming.
