I did it twice only leaving it for a few minutes and they always popped back to "normal". Finally did it leaving the bands on for a day.

I tried to avoid rubber bands because they tend to leave a crease in the dreads. Instead as an alternative, I used a small and long piece of cloth and wrapped it around the preds head very lightly. I also used hot boiling water which I left it in there for maybe...2 minutes or so. Then when I took it out I just waited a few seconds and drenched it again in cold water before releasing the cloth. Didn't have to wait overnight at all. :D

i was wondering if anybody here knows where to find the same plug that HT uses for the mask electronics? i wanna recreate the LED effect in the clean mask so that both masks have electronics. is it possible to find these parts or would i be better off trying to find a spare mask and transfer the light to my clean version? sorry i don't keep up with these threads so i don't know if this was discussed already.

I think someone had mentioned that they had gotten a similar plug once. Don't remember whom. But I just got a spare mask off ebay awhile back for cheap and had the wires swapped onto the clean mask. Sorry if I wasn't of much help. Good luck in finding your answer. Help him out guys!

Hmm does the hot-water not effect the paint? Or do hottoys use some sort of super paint that baned in most countries or something?

Also is the bio mask a bad fit? not sure if I have mine on right

If I had a nickle for every hot toys part I have dunked into hot boiling water. :lol
I was scared at first too but there are certain pieces of Hot Toys preds that I have dunked into hot water multiple times. The only type I would avoid doing is if anything has a clear gloss finish on it. the paint can handle the heat but the clear coat will come right off. Learned that the hard way.

Yeah I have never hurt anything by dunking it in hot water. I did scrape some paint off the quills on my pred's head but I fixed them pretty easily. That was from the mask before I modified it though. It was too tight.

I'm sure I'm the 417th person to do this but I thought I would add to this thread. One of my favorite figures and slowly becoming my collection grail.

Hated the original mouth/jaw color. Painted it in a pink tone then added a gloss.
:) I like it.

Finally painted up my taylerdurdem custom P1 helmet... love it. Some quick shots below!

Be gentle, it's my first metallic paintjob. I wanted to try a chrome silver on the eyes... might go over it at some point. Hope you all like it!

Fantastic job dude. One thing about the eyes is that they look like they come out just a tad bit too much. Maybe it's the silver paint that's doing that? Is it more accurate? But the rest of the mask looks awesome.

hello friends

I have worked with the last mask sharpening eyebrows and cheeks ... .. and face increasing
I also placed a transparent sheet in the eyes

Very nice, tayler. I'm thinking that I'll dremel out the eyes and add a reflective visor to the other helm you graciously sent me. : )

Ive seen you guys do a mod to fill in the battle damage helmet... Id like to do mine up that way but I have no ideal what it would take... Did someone do a step by step of that mod? Im thinking about painting the mask eyes too now thanks to these pics...

I would love a cast of that mask taylerdurdem, looks great. Did you use leather cord for the "tubes"?

OMG tylerdurdem!!! That looks incredible. So vicious looking! I need to have that mask. I need it!

(Is it just me or does it look a lot more like an accurate 1:6 Scar Predator bio now?)

thanks friend

yes, I used leather tube.

the mask of scar always seemed to me a copy of P1 but more ugly mask the scar

if there were enough people interested I would make molds .....
but for now there is only one

to remove the battle damage .... with a little sanding and some filler

thanks
