NECA: Predator Movie Franchise Figures

McFarlanes Predator ist to old.

Hot toys have the best 1/6 Figure.
Fore peoples that have the HT Pred a Neca 1/6 Pred are no interesting.
A all new 20" Pred is more interesting.
Ists bigger than the HT and harmonize to the 22" Neca Alien.

I have the HT predators and I`m more interested in this new predators from NECA than any others from HT, because the work that Kyle do is the only one that have what any big fan from predator really wants. And that is the accuracy and most certainly perfection of predators.

And HT does not do that work absolutely.
A 12", 14" or 18" new neca`s predator will be a lot of better that any HT pred.

I'd bet there are more people who buy 1/6th than those who buy in the 18" range. If there were no HT figure then 1/6th would be the best way for them to go. But, true, NECA might view the Hot Toys Predator as already fulfilling the 1/6th need.

it's so strange to read this thread about "HT is crap, new predator is really predator" - from people who previously, after buying HT, said "HT predator is cool predator, don't call it crap".

I think most of the people that are saying HT is crap never liked the HT predator to begin with. Clearly there are some people who favor NECA over Hot Toys and vice versa.

There is no denying that the prototype NECA predator figure looks outstanding. But to compare it to Hot Toys is foolish. For one, it will be in 1/12 scale and not 1/6. Secondly, it will be fully sculpted (no netting, separate armor pieces etc...), and will have very limited posability. Thirdly, NECA final products almost never look like their brilliant prototypes.

Now if they make one in the 18" scale, I will be all over it, and will probably have it repainted to really bring out the brilliance in the sculpt.

Exactly, NECA can make figures look more accurrate because they're not engineering a fully posable figure, they essentially are a statue making company, and I think, other than clothes, statues should always look more accurrate than posable figures, when you don't have to change things to allow for posability, there's no reason not to get it right. Not to say an innaccurracies on a posable figure are just because of articulation, but some will be.

Yes, the 12" Prototype looks 1000x better then the 12" Hot Toys Predator, it looks like a cheap toy in compare. Just my opinion

And i'am sure more people buy 1/4 !

Many many people have already the 18" ALIEN and each of them would buy a 18" Predator too, 100% secure !

Never happen, but it'd be so cool if NECA could make their figures life size, it'd be the most affordable option to have a full, life size Predator you could ever get.

I know, but it got me thinking, I'd actually own a 1:1 Predator if affordable, but between size and materials, a true 1:1 probably cost $2000+ easily, and I don't want one that bad, but I figure a basic figure from NECA at full size would be like maybe $500 tops, just plastic and paint, I'd buy one for that much if it looked as good as this figure.

HT pred are good because they use good materials, paint, size and the accesories; but exactly for that reason fans can`t believe if HT do separately every part of predators: WHY DON`T DO THE PREDATORS AND ACCESORIES ACCURATE LIKE REALLY THEY ARE?? Why they don`t do well its work that costs $150 each figure ??

For that reason Kyle`s predators are most brillant, if the problem is the materials, paint or plastic is obvious that HT is better but look the price what you will pay for a PREDATOR WITH BARBIE BODY AND CARTOON FACE!!!


At the end of the day finally all we are predators fans and what we want is the most accurate figure.
That is why we are fans because we are like it this monster, not a $200 HT barbie cartoon monster, and much more if the NECA`S prices is so cheap.

AND YES; this is usual in societies, but I think this are a subjet beetwen people that want a expensive toy without taking importance to the original design, that firstly was the reason for which they like this monster, and people that want a original predator and better better sculpt/figure of any company that comes.

HT will have to up their game in terms of body accuracy now that NECA have made THE Predator figures to own. I'm thankful that after years of reading the graphic novels, watching the films, playing the game, we are finally getting GREAT representations of these characters.

Exactly !!!
For me, I love sculpted textures of things rather than using real materials.
I much prefer "Sculpted" leather, rather than "Real leather"
Why? Because thats the whole challenge of the art. To make it LOOK REAL using pure artistic talent, rather than just using bits of authentic material (Barbie)

Thanks a lot and you're dead on. HT doesn't make the best looking or accurate Alien and predators but I buy some of them anyway. Their more fun in hand but 150 dollars the likeness on them should be better. It will be fun to see what they will do with the new Predators. Why am I feeling like they might go with a rubber body this time around?
