I tried to fix the height difference by putting a extra shelf under Venom check it out.

You can notice he's higher because of the nameplate but oh well.

Everything but the top row and this is my some of my collection :rotfl

I'm getting there on the 1:1's though, Spidermonk is an inspiration to ELITENESS :rock

Ski, did you PO this one or are you going to hold off for a while (ie secondary market, etc.)?

Hell no, do I hold off for secondary markets? :tap

DIS IS MINE!!!!

I don't care about fonts, ballsacks, flipping, ES, what color shirts I wear, what color Blackthorne likes to wear....etc....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry. Sorry. :lol

Just a question.

When is this one due out? 3rd quarter?

Yes sir and look at the edit. Yeah I hardly ever get anything secondary market though on the serious note. I like my Ex's and pizza boxes, cab rides home, tipping the waiting is well worth it for the Ex.

Why save $10-$30 bucks on something... is beyond me. I know this piece doesn't have a Ex but the SS customer service and return policy on something this size would be worth it.

That's the big thing for me: the returns department. I used to be all for saving money when I could, but now with the way QC is going lately, I'd be crazy not to go through SS. It makes life much easier than going through a second party.

True, you get what you pay for in this hobby, it's almost like getting insurance or a warranty for 30 days to see if you are satisfied.

Otherwise it could get ugly and saving not even a 1/4 of the cost of retail on the statue is certainly not worth it to me.

I'm starting to think we need a poll about this bust. I'm curious how many people actually like this and how many people think this should look like the LSB :monkey1 I actually posted a question to SS about this bust, I wander if they will answer it.

Start one! I'm ready to watch this showdown! :rock

Fuzzy owns like 10 of them anyways.... might as well....:banghead

Haha, nah I own one and got it only recently cos my venom was bored. I don't collect busts, prefer full size figs, cept the Carnie LSB doesn't really look like a bust, more like a work of art and it goes well on my coffee table.

This bust will be another disappointment just like the 1:1 Hulk. To tell you the truth...I think SS does it on purpose. They cant put out the most popular characters with amazing sculpts all at once. What would they have left to make in the fututre to keep them going? So they put out characters we all want but very bad versions of them. This way in the years to come they can keep remaking them better and better. Thus keeping business and interest going. Isnt that pretty much every companies insurance plan....(cough)...Apple..:)

Chris

i doubt steve wang would half ass it.

First, I have this bust on order and I plan on displaying this when it ships in October. I have a question about something however, based on a number of comments regarding Steve Wang's involvement in this piece. Does a sculpt automatically become "fantastic" or "awesome" strictly by who sculpted (or designed) it?

I get this picture of 2 guys standing in front of a sculpt. Guy #1 says, "Now that is one piece of c**p - what a waste of shelf space!" Guy #2 says, "Dude, that was sculpted by Joe Schmo himself, the master!" Guy #1 says, "Joe *@%#& Schmo sculpted this?" His friend shakes his head, a look of reverance on his face. (Pause....) Guy #1 says, "Freakin' rightous man! I'm gettin' me one!"

Sound familiar? I've actually witnessed a scene like this before! I laughed my a** off! :lol
