why is his mouth open? is that part of the damage?

I'm no happy in the way the helmet looks, something is wrong with the mouth, the first IRON MAN Mark III have better helmet.

It's probably the flip up helmet isn't seated correctly, or the lower jaw has dropped. The lower jaw is designed to open slightly. It might just be it wasn't closed properly.

i would only be bothered about the slightly different paintjobs if i still had the 1st MKIII and was displaying it with the BD!

i think the BD looks great but i think the original MIII should have had the more shiny paintjob seeing as its a 'clean' suit!

Man HT's FB page is a tough read these days. Every single post is bombarded by the same handful of ppl with the same cynical comments with no end in sight. And dare you not have a positive thing to say cause then you are a HT fanboy... this is so tiring. Please do not let this happen here and respect each others opinion as there can be more than one

There's no problem respecting somebody else's opinion...as long as it makes some sense. That said, BD IM has very strong positive features and if people over there can't see them, it's their problem because it does not change the fact that it is a great figure.

OMG, one last favor to ask: do you think you could take a pic of the BD right next to v1 in the exact same pose? By exact same I mean, same side, same arm and leg position, etc. Thanks a lot in advance.

wow the v1 is so badass on this one

Proportion wise, that is.

Anyone else noticed that the BD's rubber briefs is shorter than the v1 version? Perhaps this is what makes it more pose able, especially when doing that trademark punching the ground while crouching position

I know that most people will disagree with me, but I'm kinda glad that I have the V1 instead of this version. If only that was the case with the Joker. Oh well, at least mine has BR sculpt.

I cant help but regret selling the v1.

as nice as this one is with all the added bonuses, all I need is a mark 3 with movie accurate color and proportion. Which this one clearly lacks off.

reconsidered everything and after seeing these lackluster proportions Im definatly waiting for the IM2 line. I can forgive them for the headsculpt, but theres just NO excuse for worse proportions, just imagine DX batman being fatter than the already too fat V1 batman! Now we get the THIRD iron man thats slimmer than the already too slim V1 iron man! rediculous! canceled right away!

The paint job on the BD looks much better in my opinion. I've mentioned before (and I wasn't the only one) that one of my biggest complaints about the V1 MKIII was the inconsistency of the red color on different parts of the armor.

I never took a good photo of my MKIII to illustrate that shortcoming before I ended up selling it a while back, but thanks to OMG's awesome photos, it's there to see now:

Notice the hands, abdominals, and the waist/briefs area of the V1 Mark III and how the red color are different shades compared to the rest of the body. And notice how consistent the BD is in that regard.

I would assume that none of the parts have actually shrunk in the transition between V1 and BD. I think it's just an optical illusion created by the addition of the changeable chest plate and maybe the briefs. I assumed they used the existing molds from the V1 MKIII. That's just my theory though.

The only area of the new figure that I am sure is now thinner in appearance are the calves when opened.

well yes, it appears slimmer even though it might not be, but the proportions are tossed out the window because of it. I mean, you say its just the appearance, an optical illusion, but the appearance is like, the most important thing with these! Making the chest larger without making the waist larger is plain lazy, and its clear HT wanted to cash in on these old molds.. shame, because I love the red on this :( canceled :(
