I've Always wanted a 1:1 bust of Albert.....I guess this will due. Even though this will be my only 12 inch figure...and probably my last.

It doesn't look like it's changed from when the thread started two years ago. Hot Toys have made some developments in that time. I hope they will be able to give it their treatment. I wonder what the deal is between them and How2. It sounds like they're acting as middle men to get this out finally.

Where is the news at the hot toys page?

I would like to have this figure but it´s rare that I can not see the official information in his site. Would be fantastic if this figure comes with a blackboard and his famous equation. I have the desk from Andy (the shawshank redemption) and I think this can be a great display:naughty

Thats a sweet looking figure but not worth $100. More like $100 as galictiboy pointed out.

With that price he must to come with this extra head...

:D

I'd rather have his signature suit than the sweater look.
Plus, even though sloppy most of the time, almost all of his sweaters & suits had that small wing tip collar or collared shirt and a tie underneath.
The majority of the time he wore the same suit. He had one for each day of the week, exactly the same.
His thought was, no need to spend any brain cells on deciding what to wear. There are more important things
to use his brain for. :D

how2work and hot toys collaborated before to release the Warlords figures..and those figures looked great!..

Cheers Chouzi, I never realised that. Looks like they did a good job on those figures. Still don't see $150 worth of value in this particular figure, when they were able to do the Planet of the Apes figures for just over the $100 mark, and more complicated figures are around $150 and a license being required.

maybe there's more accessories. afterall, we have not seen any official picture from Hot Toys..either there's more accessories or its the license for Einstein that made up the 150usd price tag..

i don't see a hot toys logo anywhere in those pictures. and this is definitely not hot toys quality for the asking price.

and didn't how2work released several einstein figures already? i remember seeing one some time back. maybe im losing my mind. :p

I saw this at BBTS. $150 WTF?!? :horror

That is insane for a figure with no accessories and as basic an outfit as you can get. This should be $75 tops regardless of the need for a licence. Even with a nice tweed suit as a second outfit it would barely merit being $100. Maybe with a 1:6 bicycle, pipe, etc. you could star to justify the price.

This will sell poorly due to price and will be misinterpreted as lack of interest.

This thread is two and a half years old, so it's probably this thread you saw or another. We've just been waiting for something to happen.

BBTS usually mark their prices higher, at first, just in case they have the incorrect information, which happened once and they copped alot of flak for having to raise their prices. I think they ended up wearing the extra costs on that one. If it comes out cheaper they drop their prices on the pre-orders as well.

for $3 more I have the new hot toys t-800 figure. For that price, I think many einstein figures will remain in stores:rolleyes:

:lol I always like how Doc Brown from BttF was based on Al, his hair, the explanations of the space/time continuum on the black board, naming his dog Einstein. Damn I want some BttF figures...

For this price though, they should have HT do the paint work and include a bike.
