General question: does Sideshow offer Flex Pay on in-stock items? Just curious since I had to cancel this but intend to get it later. If they do offer flex pay for in-stock stuff, then I'll definitely try and get the idol through them in a couple of months.

Yea i would just call them up, should be able to help you out.

That's my other concern. It may well look good at first, but might chip or tarnish over time.

Right, this is after I have sold mine (plated by the orginal guys in California). Maybe one of you bought mine a few months back.

If I'm not mistake the next prop is a 1/4 ark which I don't get. Why go with 1/4? I would have loved to of seen a 1:1 Cross of Coronado (which I've always wanted) or even the Sankara stones instead.

Cause they want to do a proper ark and a 1:1 ark would have been ridiculously expensive.

Anyways I canceled my order and reordered with flex pay. I have too much coming right now.

This does not bode well for future 1:1 Indy props.

I think the lack of support for 1:1 props so far has something to do with the way they addressed concerns about the 1/6 line... the prices they charged were high and people had high expectations, so when expectations were not met, Sideshow's not fixing inaccuracies like gold plating on the $80 Ark said a lot about their support for Indy.

Clearly people are skeptical about the final product here as a result.

All of the stuff you guys mentioned has been available in many levels of goodness throughout the years on prop boards and Ebay. Idols have been available for about 15 years but most without the correct subtleties. I was expecting Sideshow to give us something we haven't seen before and instead they gave us the same ol' same ol' - nothing special. I realize this may be due to the licensing people at LFL but nomatter who is at fault it's turning off the base fans if they can just get this stuff elsewhere and have been for over a decade.

Not if it had illuminated LED's that glow when in proximity to the other stones.

As for the Cross of Coronado, it's just a big gold crucifix bling.
