Can anybody post a back side picture of theirs to compare to mine?

That's a rip at the tail joint.

Here's some of Sabres excellent shots he posted up a few pages back - searching is your friend...

Do you not have eyes? Can you not see a huge difference between the HT and the movie version's face? I mean, it's cool if you like it....but most of the people here have noticed this problem. I have no clue why you're so stubborn about this...calling people obessesed fanboys and such.

I mean...come on....

Yes P, I have eyes, And other than the distended jaw and unwebbed hands...don't see that big a difference. Obviously you do, as your many, many, many posts repeat that fact. Also, where in the Holy Hell did I use the word fanboy?
Sabres handles himself quite well and I seriously doubt he needs you of all people defending him. Thank You.

I've got to say, those are ace pics, and it does look really good from the back.

You would think that after all the Aliens HT's has dealt with they would have very few material issues now. It seems that the pegs and adhesion issues are still there. I opened mine just to check.

Good or Bad - Screen accurate or not

Dropped Big Chap off at Sick8oy's yard.
The fact is, straight out of the box it looks badass!!

The irony being that I absolutely loved that figure, despite it being just as inaccurate as the Big Chap.

I got mine yesterday and I was blown away on the detail of this figure, if you're on the fence about it...pull the trigger because he is AWESOME. Obligatory head banger smiley is in order...:rock

Just got back home from replacing my Big Chap. New ones perfect and Im loving this fig regardless of all the hate. :D

Ass is perfect now

I be waiting to see if they announce a DX version of this bugger in 6 months, with an accurate head. Nice figure no doubt but for the "ultimate" alien collectable it is just not there.

Fn' hell DM TWO breaks in a row? I still love it too despite all these QC Issues... My peg broke just like yours, I too heated it up. I emailed HT with the pics and reciept right away, they are slow but they came through for me with my original batman's broken peg.

Im asking them to send me two in case it happens again.

I want the pegs replaced on principal alone.

guys, with old aliens... What do you use to clean these aliens from dust? I used compressed air on my Dutch and Batman and it works well. Will it work for alien too? The rubber seems even softer. In fact it seems like it would rot away as it is. Did this happen to any older HT aliens?

Not much to say in all this debate. I hate seeing those broken ones. Mine came in, a day or two ago, in great shape. It is one of the last figures I am gonna get for a long time, and means a lot to me personally, hell, the Alien is the first real figure I ever got, (the Kenner and the old MPC kit) so this represents thirty years of collecting to me. I do have opinions about the figure, and have kept them to myself for a long time now.

I have read the spirited "conversations" and have to side with Goforindian. Good on you pal! I agree.
I LOVE, and let me say this clearly, LOVE my Hot Toys Big Chap. It took me GREAT pains to get, during tough times, and not without a lot of sacrifice, so I must reiterate, it represents more to me than it could to many of you.
That having been said, I have mine, it's fine, I did readjust the mouth a bit, ten minute transfer of tongue (from a MadFarlane Alien) and a hit with a Krylon silver leafing pen on the teeth, some washes of color, not much, a trim here or there, and done. EASY fixes all. Therefore, I say, the figure as is, is amazing. I was breathless opening the box. And pretty darned grateful also.

Here are the pics of mine, posed with my now FINALLY completed Ripley, which I have worked on for nearly four years...(she needed hair is all...this figure put that fire into me..and no, I am not making them...she is not for sale at any price...but I will share the recipe anytime...) so enjoy one of these, in one very grateful person's collection.

Hope these pics help any of you on the fence. I think this figure RULES!!!! Totally! GET ONE! And if you don't want it, don't. Your loss, not mine. :rock

I think a lot of guys assume "DX figures are just a chance to redo figures HT f'ed up on in the first place. This isn't the case at all. If you look at Batman and Joker, sure they corrected mistakes from the fist one but they simply offered an awful lot more than the fist one did. What else could HT offer with this alien? A facehugger and a chest burster and an egg or base? simply not enough to constitute a DX. This is the only Alien we're getting I'm almost positive.
