Shai hasn't even seen the film - but as long as you keep responding to his nonsense, then he wins.

Just because you are my cousin Dave, doesnt mean you know everything I do....:joy...I have indeed seen it yesterday.

And I really dont like the story and think this film and the fanatism of its fans are a farce. Is it my fault if I dont like everything because it has nice bright color in it.I like to criticize....Sorry...

For me, a masterpiece of a movie is something like Inglorious Basterds.

Not this.

now that was a hell of a movie, i've stated before that i just can't seem to get myself up to see this movie. maybe it's because of the last couple hugely hype movies i couldn't stand, and their names were of course Transformers 2 and GI Joe. wasted about 6 hrs of my life i'll never get back.:monkey2

GI JOE was hyped? I thought everyone thought that movie looked horrible. I was actually surprised to find it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Inglourious Basterds is definitely up there with my favorites of the year.

Yeah Im not afraid to say that I enjoyed GI Joe. I thought it was better than the last Indy movie. :lol

people who don't like this film for having a weak story and script must also hate Star Wars.

Just sayin'.

I'm [retty sure that Lightwave posted this up some time....but i just stumbled upon it

It's teh making of Avatar...it's really interesting:

Very interesting! Thanks for this.
I thought avatar was such a fabulous film EXPERIENCE. I feel bad for those who didnt enjoy this film, I cant imagine not being impressed by the work that has gone into it.

Re: I saw AVATAR in 3D!

IMO Avatar fans are dellusional and obssessed the same way the Dark Knight fans were.

I've said it before and I'll keep saying it:

Fanboys are the worst kind of people to base a judgment of a film on.
And the same can be said to those who opose the fanboys, they will crack down the movie fanboys like as if it was the worst movie ever.

The truth is somewhere in the middle between those 2 extremes.

Again, Avatar IS groundbreaking visually, technically etc. Like it or not, there is no denying in that.
It was a pure and intense movie experience.

Storywise Avatar is mediocre and stands no where close to his previous films.

But in the end, it is a must see!

Re: I saw AVATAR in 3D!

I totally agree with the comments about recycled story lines and a predictable plot but this is the first time in about 15 years that I've gotten totally engrossed in a film to the point of feeling part of it.

I can't wait to go see it again in big screen 3D.

It made another 16 million Tuesday. I don't think it will end up second all time like lightwave thinks, but I am guessing it is going to do around 350-400 million since it definitely is going to have legs.

I have a feeling this will eventually be rereleased later so people can enjoy pandora again.

It has already made over 300 million in like a weeks time! I think your underestimating. China and Japan and much of the U.S. with snow storms havent even seen it yet.

I just checked box office mojo and its made well over 400 million already. Your prediction is a little shy Bannister
