Thanks, IM. Still massaging those guys...I had to re-do Virdon because he was just a tad smaller than I wanted him to be...just a tad...so he is totally in rough shape now.

Here is my Christmas angel, which I still need to cure and paint up. I got the inspiration from Apemania.

What do you think of Burke? I think he's getting there. I have to tweak his nose to make sure it's even on both sides. Kinda lopsided now, but I need time away from him so when I work on him again I will do so with fresh eyes.

You did a good job and all but...it just looks scary to me! Maybe it's that uncanny valley thing going on...

I know it's a bit much for a lot of people...my family hasn't seen her yet. They will freak out. But I think she's cool in a surreal kind of way.

Your sculpts are getting better and better Jess. Mind if I ask a question? Have you baked any of the heads yet? Is their current size the finished scale or will the heads shrink some?

Keep up the great work!

I couldn't help it--I baked Burke because I'm raring to see him painted up. The size should remain the same--never noticed any shrinking during curing before.

:banana Another step forwad. Now you're really on the march. :whip

Are you making molds?

Angel, how are things in court? :monkey5

I will be of Pete for sure and Alan, too. Wish me luck--it's been awhile since I tried making molds.

Oh--trying something different with Alan---I'm using glass beads for his eyes. It still doesn't make it any easier.

No, Pete does not have the glass eyes, but Alan does. Had to dig out sockets to place them in there... I eventually covered it up with more clay because the glass was too slippery and I couldn't sculpt his eyelids nicely around the eyeballs.

I will make casts and paint up the cast soon. Started working on on my Link again, so I will have to juggle this project with that monstrous one.

Wow, welll at least now you know that maybe those beads wont work, good try though. I know someone that looks like that sculpt, with the deep sockets and all. Eerie.

Keep up the nice work jess, I look forward to seeing them painted.

Anyone have any POTA wishlists for this holiday? I would love another HT Soldier but unfortunatley I'm the only one in my circle that supports this hobby.

Also, a Bloody Law Giver would rock. Maybe some day PZ will want to trade? :naughty:monkey5

For my Planet of the Apes wishlist, I would love to have an original screen-used chimp green outfit. It's currently on sale through Apemania, but if I have to ask how much that is, then it's definitely not for me. I know it would fit me perfectly since all chimps had a height requirement and I'm just five feet tall. Sucks to be poor.

What do you think guys?

Hi Jess! The Pete and Burke sculpts look great! I would love to see pictures of both painted. Better than Ada could have done. The detailes such as the hair, eyes, cleft chin are top notch and the texter of the face is phenomenal. You are a true artist! I will have to show these pics to my Mother, since She has sculpted porcellin dolls for years.
