Now that's more like it! The expression is much more worthy of ghat character. Body proportions still seem on the small side particularly the shoulders aren't broad enough, but I can live with that. He's by far my favourite character in the Watchmen and the only one I want as the token representation in my display...
Going back to the headsculpt, it's good to see Hot Toys branching away from the neutral expressions we normally get in their sculpts, especially when the character is distinctive for having a particular way of looking...yes I'm talking about the Joker, 5 Ttempts at a sculpt and not one with his patented maniacal laugh...hopefully this is the turning point. Now let's see wolverine with a revised head sculpt complete with cocked eyebrow and snarl...

Look closer. That is a totally new head. The scar, eyes, mustache, and smile wrinkles are all significantly different.

I dunno, man. I'm not seeing what you're seeing. The new photo contains a Comedian figure that looks exactly the same as the SDCC photos I posted, except the former is looking downward a bit. But you have the inside info. Did HT tell you this was a new sculpt? They've been scarce with the details on this guy.

Either way, I think he looks great.

I really want to like this figure, but the head sculpt still isn't perfect to me. I think it does look somewhat improved over the SDCC images, but it is hard to tell with the downward angle in the new picture. Hopefully seeing some more angles and stuff will change my opinion. Also, really hoping for a young head sculpt, if that's in there it'll definitely enhance the whole figure.

I can see that it's totally a new sculpt, look at the dimples on his cheek on the left (our left, his right) and look at the moustache thickness. I think Yulli basically went for exactly the same expression but executed it better. Perhaps she did it via tweaking rather than a new sculpt, but there's a lot of subtle differences there, all for the better

I guarantee you it is a new sculpt. Pay very close attention to the parts I mentioned before and you'll see it.

Okay, I still don't see any changes other than the mustache, but I'll just trust your word until we get more photos of this figure.

I don't agree with those who say the sculpt in the official pic is SO much better than the SDCC proto though. It is possible that minute changes can radically alter a portrait, but it's not the case with this one. From what I can see.

I agree with plasmid that any changes haven't drastically altered what we saw previously. In other words, I don't think the new sculpt is going to convince more people to buy or anything.

Is there a new sculpt or are you just talking of possibilities?

Looks a bit different... more intense. But even if its the same, the photography is more flattering than the con pics. Overall looks great... still be interested if they include a younger sculpt as well.

I really cannot see that much of a difference, other than the angle, but I will accept it has been altered. Don't care, as I liked the Con pics anyway.

If he has a new 'Wolvie-type' body I may have to bite.

I'm just watching the movie now, and while I've been championing this fig since I first saw it, I hope they address the 'shotgun sheath'. In the movie he's clearly got a second strap next to the grenade belt where the shotgun is, its only centred on his back at the end of the scene when he talks to nite owl. while I have no issue with its position as it moves through the scene I think it should have a strap around his body. As it is now it looks like he has a fixed sheath like Blades sword. Although its a small niggle really and I still love the fig...

I think he does have a wolverine type body. Obviously not the same because of the lack of body hair, but he does have a seperate at the shoulder joint and he doesn't look Dutch big, so that would imply a new body type.

I see minimal differences in sculpt..mainly the mustache is thicker. But it looks like the same sculpt to me...:huh

It HT Wolverine's body hard plastic or is it rubber? Seems like the elbows would need a harder plastic for support.
