Hard to say. The line might just be starting to take off with GI Joe collectors... I didn't think I'd have a problem doing that with the Crimson Cobra Commander, but now I wonder... and I never had a waitlist for a GI Joe item that didn't convert until the Excl. Storm Shadow, which I'm a little worried about now.

I don't know, I'm sort of on the fence too, especially now that I know it's "oversized" (WTF?) and will have to pay a lot more for shipping (to Canada). Plus, as always with Sideshow, I'll get killed on the customs fees... but then again, only 750 made, so...

It's FAR too early to be worried about WL conversions on Storm Shadow. Six months down the line, worry. Now? I wouldn't. There are probably still a big chunk of declines sitting in limbo waiting to be canceled or updated.

You give me hope!

I had a credit card number stolen and the company canceled it. I'd missed the "decline" email from Sideshow and found it two weeks past the 5-day limit. Sideshow was still able to process my order for the T-600 Ex. So I'd say your chances are still VERY good depending on when you jumped on the list.

i'm surpprised so many didn't expect this price when ordering, a $130 piece plus originally thought $10-$15 for shipping, plus tax...I already expected it to be this cost when ordering.

I just don't understand some ordering/cancellations that people do. One thing thta you can't afford it, but because of shipping is slightly higher than originally planned?

Hell, for what it is, I'm surprised that so many actually preordered the damn thing in the first place! :lol

I'd rather get mine as early as possible to make sure I have an excellent condition one with no defects, and what if by chance it does sell out? It probably won't right away, but who knows, you can use this base for more things than just G I Joe.

well with 4500 snake eyes made, I am sure there are at least 750 collectors willing to pay the amount for a dio and Timber, especially since it is well made.

Doubt it. Out of the 750 you suggested, I'm betting a majority looked elsewhere for a more affordable Timber with the rest just content going without. :lol

there is obvious demand since it sold out...sure there will be cancellations, but eventually it will sell out.

SSC lists items with a "to be determined" quantity and sets the quantity based on the preorder pace.

So even an item that sold 50 items can technically "sell out" if SSC wanted to set the quantity that low.

Key word there...eventually

I definitely don't think it will sell out right away, but I still won't take the chance that it will so I got my order secured, I even switched it to flexpay so I only have to pay $65 a month for 2 months, not too bad for me.

yeah but it has already been determined at 750. and once it sells through, they aren't going back to sell more. that's it!

To each his own

I want timeber but not at that price, this is similar to the Han Carbonite for me. Didnt want to spend 230$ shipped so I waited and got for cheaper, and had chances to get for even less than I paid.

You can make the argument of 2000 vs 750 but at the end of the day there will always be people trying to unload it.

Are you sure it "Sold Out?" It's Wait Listed which could possibly mean they're dividing a fat chunk to "suddenly discover" a Spooky Second Chance. :lol

I'm sure some people just don't think it through really. Some were probably a little angry about the price increase and just cancelled out of spite.

Plus there were quite a few people on the fence about the whole thing. After all, it's not the most impressive product they've put out. I admit I had been considering cancelling it for some time now, and the increase in shipping (especially to Canada, dammit) was very close to being the last straw. But then I figured, everything so far HAS sold out, so...

Never underestimate the desire for the "official" product...
