Woke up this morning and am happy to report that the bumps are going away. I don't know if it is because I stopped putting the lotion on or the Olux. Either way I am going to continue doing what I am doing and hopefully by Friday its all done. :D

Glad to hear it Keith! :rock :rock

I actually know a girl who turned out allergic - she's apprenticing at he shop I go to. When she was living in Connecticut she got a decent sized tattoo right above her wrist, and had it outlined in black, and filled in with a magenta color.

For whatever reason, she turned out allergic to it, and it looks puffed up and like it's peeling almost all of the time.

Dang that sounds nasty. So glad I haven't had any problems with any of my tats....that would just suck so bad.

Ok so here is a pic as of 4:30 today. You can still see a little of the small red bumps around the tat that looked opened up a bit. That is because I have destroyed them with steriods. :rock :lol It is healing nicely. I will stop putting the gunk on in a few more days.

If it makes you feel any better - I've broken out a time or two after being tattooed. The artists I have pretty much chalk it upto the skin being so irritated afterward, or using too much lotion and clogging the pores (which I am just awful about doing).

My Leonardo was probably the worst with that happening, and those bumps didn't help the itching, at all. :lol

I haven't had the heart to ask him yet. I really think I will be fine. I have done some research and they all talk about bumps. However, I am unique and the past few years stress has made me break out in weird bumps on my hands. So thats why I have the OLUX. Believe it or not though I haven't had to use it in about 2 years. So I am not so sure that stress is the cause. Because if it was I should be applying it to my face right about now. :lol

It's not pushing the ink out. I also noticed that the first time I had small bumps appear but nothing major. However he only use a little yellow during the first sitting. My tail has tons of yellow so I definately think thats it.

I will check in tomorrow and let you all know how I am doing. I think it will go away soon. But for the sake of the thread and documentation I feel it's important to let others know.

Also through my research I have read that no tattoo ink is approved my the FDA and that there is absolutely no way to be sure what is actually in the ink. That is kinda scary. I also read that a good bit of tattoo ink is the same stuff they use on cars for paint! :horror It's just that no one regulates it. I actually never knew that before researching my bumps.

This is why getting a tattoo makes one a baddass. :lecture. :lol

Sorry to hear about your reaction man. I was sure that was going to happen to me since I have very sensitive skin. I hope it doesn't ruin your tattoo.

:horror:google Damn, that sucks.

I would hope that eventually your body could find a way to deal with it and move on. Seems like that is what would happen.

Luckily most of the bumps were around it. But I had a few very small spots scab up due to having to stop applying anything to the tatt for a couple days. But the scabs are coming off clear so I think I am good.

now you should put flames on the side of your face so it looks like you are going faster than you are......like a car since we using car paint anyways...... i know, that was a long journey just to get to that joke i apologize......

That sounds like a good idea! Then when I get it I can threaten them with a lawsuit and claim I fell asleep!

Gotta love the dodge neons of the world that have stupid flames on the wheel wells. :lol

Oh and still waiting on your pictures! :tap

How is everyone healing up? I am pretty much all healed. I have one small spot that is scabbed up next to the tatt from where I had the reaction. Everything else is all good! I have one small part also on one of the feathers that lost some of the purple color. That will be fixed when I go for the touch up. Other than that I couldn't be happier. I love it! :rock

Any new freaks, please post pics of your tatts! Or if you are about to get one share! :duff

Going on Friday for all of my touch ups and tightening. Anyone else get or planning to get one done?

I took this pic at work with my phone...so sorry if it's a bit redish!

Anywayz...the back story of this tat is basically that I wanted to give homage to a painting I did when I was real down on my luck...so I decided to do it to represent that I'm stronger now and that I can get through anything that comes in my way. I got it like 4 yrs ago.

Another reason that I decided on a Scorpion is that i'm a Scorpio ..DUH!

I'm working on a couple of designs for my next tat...I'm thinking about doing like a Phoenix on my shoulder too...sorta like Badmoon....but on the opposite shoulder...I've been working on the design for years...but I dunno...it not quite ready yet.

You can see the painting I was talking about in my art thread:https://sideshowcollectors.com/forums/showthread.php?t=60014
It's the girl with the scorpion on her arm.. DOY!

That looks really good! Scorpions are bad ass looking in general, but your design is pretty cool :rock
