The next Rob Zombie remake is... The Blob!!

Put these concepts together, and I think we have a good handle on Rob Zombie's extreme vision of the Blob!!

the blob will now be a walt hudson sized redneck who fell into a toxic lake and rapes men and woman with its blob appendages...and it has many appendages. the only way to kill it is to swallow it whole and then hack yourself to death with a halved can of pabst blue ribbon.

Expect it to star:

I heard somewhere that in robs remake the blob is an ill looking kid who has a fasination with turning things in to a blobs. The first half of the the film is about the blob as kid and ends with him turning a bully into a blob. In the second half he's grown up and he straps chainsaws and knives to his body and runs at prostitutes and ill looking men with beards, creating unatural levels of blood. But then the blobs dead mum (played by Robs wife) starts appearring in the blobs dreams, but then the blob accidently flips a car on himself and ends up riding a white horse into a bright light.

I can see the origin of the "blob" now. Zombie is going to zoom the camera on Sheri's ass and this thing that looks like a turd will come out and it will eat her and become The Blob!!!

Let me take a wild guess.

Some redneck is 600 pounds and people made fun of him his whole life.

Now he goes around brutally murdering people by suffocating them with his fat.

I've got a movie. This washed up musician, hack director goes around ruining classics and being made fun of until he snaps and brutally murders people...

Well, one thing will have to be drastically different from his Blob than the previous two. the Blob will have to be able to speak so he can say G** D**, M**Ther ^^^^^KER, S.O.B., etc, etc, etc.

I'm actually looking forward to Rob Zombie's take on THE BLOB.

For some reason . . . I doubt it'll be a "space monster". I'm thinking Rob will take a similar path the first remake (i.e. man made creature) or possibly he'll go with a supernatural twist to it.

as far as i'm concerned, the blob has already been remade. and it was a pretty damn good remake too. the 1988 version starring kevin 'entourage' dillon, and directed by chuck 'the mask' russell. i loved that version. the make-up effects were great, and they found a pretty cool way to deal with the monster, while leaving room for a sequel (which sadly never came).

rob zombie can take his idiotic "reimagining" and stuff it up his talentless a$$. he has absolutely NO clue as to what made the blob a great creature. it is PRECISELY because of its shapeless, anonymous, faceless form that it is scary. it just pisses me off big time when i hear of morons like him trying to change stuff for the sake of it, inevitably making it worse.

Yeah, it was hokey and lame in parts, but the 1988 remake was and still is the best that the Blob can be remade IMO. But if a studio is going to attempt it, then get someone who actually understands the material, which Zombie clearly doesn't.

I'm going to remake the Blob and my first act is to get rid of the Blob.
