Hey, we're all simple folks around these parts!! LOL
I did see the pic of the Space Precinct work. Very cool stuff. I really wish that the line would have had more to it. Finding the Brogan's is such a pain and they seem to be getting higher in price. Ebay is killing my Space Precinct and "V" acquisitions.

I had no idea that the Space Precinct stuff was even desirable, I bought it more for nostalgia... but, hey that's why we all buy this stuff!
As David Sylvian sang I sometimes feel like I'm drowning in my nostalgia.
I think you'll love the Gorillas when you get them, I expected Ursus to be my fave but I think it's the regular soldier. I just love his bandolier and rifle.
And Angel, love those customs, especially the female Gorilla, too cool!

I felt the same way about the Hot Toys Hellboy figures... everyone got there's before me. Well, I'll get them cheap... cheap and late.
I can't wait to see SOMEONE post a picture of one of the new Hot Toys Apes with a Sideshow gorilla head! Please.... anyone?

I hear that ProtoZaius! I've been "eyeing" the Sideshow X-Files (Scully & Mulder) for several years. I just picked them both up [minutes ago], cheap... cheap and late.
So nobody's received General Ursus yet?????
OK. I'm back in town. Didn't think I could survive a 15-hour flight...I fell asleep and when I woke up I was saddened to realize I still had 10 hours left of the flight. I saw a real neat Kung Fu movie I would never have watched called Ip Man. I tried to watch some other movies like Watchmen, but I could not get into the movie. I listened to Bizet's Carmen and got through all the 3 parts of the opera while asleep...Airplane food sucks.
I also got something ape-related in the mail today! I didn't open it but it's from BLAMVentures.

I'm on post #13999. That's as far as I am going to get tonight. You guys have been busy chattering with all of your ape projects. I'm so proud of you!!!
Oh...and many thanx PZ for your review of Dr. Zaius PF. I had the same feeling about the weirdness of the paint job, and your up close and personal shots of him really show the unnecessary lines instead of the tones they should have been using. Also, the blush on the PF Zaius is a little too red for me. If anything, Zaius needs a lot more grey to his face. Some shots of the hair look excellent, but I can see how it is too short in some of the shots. And yesssss definitely the eyes are a bit too jaundiced for me.
I've got 2 days to rest before hitting the slave mines. Yuck. I hear sunshine helps overcome jetlag. I hope so.
Oh....I can't wait for SDCC 2010. I know I'll definitely be visiting BLAMventures, hopefully while in full ape regalia.

As for the guys at BLAM... I visited their booth for three days straight wearing a different Ape t-shirt every day and nobody noticed!!!

I still think that sculpt bears a great resemblence to TV's Galen.
I know that a Kubrick (a Medicom block toy line) was made of this same ape/Che Guevara character. They also made an "Apetoven"
I tried, Ironman. My stuff is a big mess. I couldn't find a clothed gorilla so that I could do a clothes-swap for you.
Hot Toys is interesting...you have to pop off the arms and head to remove the clothing. That really surprised me...so Sideshow's stuff is a bit better for "playing"

Hot Toys is interesting...you have to pop off the arms and head to remove the clothing. That really surprised me...so Sideshow's stuff is a bit better for "playing"
Don't forget, HT sells their Masterpiece figures as "model kits". That way they skirt around the action figure license and the trade off is a bit more assembly. I have others of theirs and it doesn't affect the poseability/playability factor.
I've also come up with a few ape "faces". I'll have to see if they'll work though.
