Waitlist converted and received shipping notice from SSC. I didn't care for this piece at first but the more I stare at it the better it looks. Now I can't wait for its arrival. Woo hoo!

Sweet. I was surprised that it converted. Was gonna try to flip it on ebay but I think it will look very good in my Detolf with MKs I II and III. And they're not huge like Preds so they will actually fit. When you getting yours? UPS said mine should be here at the end of the week. SSC sure worked fast this time.

Isn't the Sideshow Exclusive exactly the same as the Silly Things version? Other than what's printed on the figure base (Silly Thing vs. Iron Man Mark III Exclusive Verion) there shouldn't be a difference right? Silly Things "TK" Edition MMS101 is printed right on box along with the Silly Thing registered trademark logo. Am I missing something here?

The actual Silly Things version says "Iron Man" instead of Mark 3 Exclusive version on the placard and "Silly Things" on the base instead of Iron Man.

That's exactly what I said. Other than the figure stand it is the exact same figure, paint job and everything. So you're willing to pay an additional $1000+ for a figure stand because it says "Silly Thing" on the base and the placard is different? The Sideshow Exclusive is the Silly Thing "TK" Edition. I'm not trying to cause conflict here, I'm just trying to understand your logic.

What logic. Its a variant. I said I'm willing to wait it out. Meaning I'm not going to pay $1000 for a stand, I'm going to wait until one is affordable and then get it. A variant no matter how small is one and I want it, When one get to a price I'm willing to pay for semi-close to retail I'll nab it.

A figure stand makes it a variant? Okay then I guess. All I know is that it's listed as $1280 on the Silly Thing web site. Good luck with your quest on getting that variant then. I'm sure you could probably get an extra figure stand from a Truetype and have a base and placard custom made to look exactly like the Silly Thing version.

I would say just the figure stand different is something varying slightly from the standard. I'm sure you could get a custom one done but what does it matter? I want the actual ST version, I'll get one no problem. Someone nabbed one just last week on another set of boards for $300. I'm not worried about whats on Silly Thing's site. Not to mention what is the point of getting it done for you it wouldn't be authentic. I might as well get a TrueType placard and have it say "Mark 3 the Mike Edition"
