I don't trust that Auction.
The item location is in Canada, but one of the photo's is from Felmar's collection if I am not mistaken who is in the US. Very suspicious:confused:

Possibly, although some people are too lazy to take their own pictures, so they just take others from the internet. Safest bet would be to ask him for more pictures with a sign of his name next to it.

I've been looking at these busts quite a bit lately. I really want the Sideshow Clean version. I put my name on the waitlist, but sadly, I don't believe they'll ever find any stray Clean 1:1 endoskulls lying around any time soon and I'm not going to pay $1200 for one either.:monkey2

Get the combat version and clean it up.

Yea, but $1200....Thats too much cash for me anyways. So how is your Pred bust and Alien Warrior treating yea?

After my previous post I did some research and I think this is exactly what I'm going to do. IMO the cleaned combat endoskulls look even better than the original. I think I'm going to order it from Alter Ego.

There were a few questions I still had remaining about the process:

1. Is it possible to destroy the chrome paint with the non-acetone pads?

2. Is there any special precaution I should take regarding the nameplate?

3. Is there black paint residue that needs to be removed from the small crevices of the bust or is it mainly located on the outer plating of the face and head?

The Alien Warrior i've got, and absolutely love the piece, i'll never get rid of it. Although i'm having a hard time trying to figure out how to display all my busts, as i've got a limited amount of space to work with in my bedroom. Predator bust should arrive next week sometime, cannot wait :)

You think someone with 100% positive feed back would pull a scam now? :lol

Its my auction.. Wouldnt say Im too lazy to take pics, I just dont have a camera. It also says that there are pics to compare it to the other endo.
Didnt think people would need to see the very one Im selling because, if your interested in getting one of these, You know what your getting.

Its not an issue with scamming sometimes. I've found that auctions sometimes do better with the acutal pics of the item being purchased as there is still some variance in production pieces.

This is esp true of some of the endo busts; the eyes lining up correctly and skull being a little slanted have been reported.

Showing that your bust doesn't have this issues might help boost the auction some more :naughty

Helped when i sold mine.

My advice is to really take a few sessions to do it. Rushing can sometimes give you last than ideal results.

My personal advice is to leave the nameplate alone. I have cleaned mine and to be honest would prob have left it alone if i could wind back the clock.

Also be aware that you may uncover some unchromed parts when you clean your bust. A buddy of mine did and let's just say he wasn't too happy :banghead

As for care, i know SS did put a layer of clear coat of some sort over the bust and you might want to consider that but most of the guys just used a metal polish to protect it.

good luck.

That would really suck to uncover unchromed parts of the bust. I don't want to ruin such an expensive piece. I suppose it's something I'll have to put some thought into whether I want to take a risk like that.

I saw it in person and to be honest it was a very minor crevice area.
still not something you really want to find though :monkey1

I really like the SS combat bust, that's why I didn't even try to get a chrome one - better saving money for other things. You could get the combat SS and the clean HCG for example.

Hi all,

I had gotten one BD endoskull, but i was very unhappy with sloppy paintjob. its like a blob of paint on both sides of the cheeks.

I wish to remove the paint using EQUATE brand non-acetone nail polish remover, however i am unable to get this in my country.

1) I wonder if anyone else here uses other brands of non-acetone nail polish remover, and achieve the desired results?

2) After removing the paint, do i need to wax/polish it up?

3) Is there anyone here who did not applied wax? does the endoskull flake or have any chemical reaction on the chrome after a considerable period of time??

1) Any non acetone remover would work...we just like the equate brand because they offer the pads and its cheap!

2) I would recommend polishing, it definitely brings out the shine. But no, it is not absolutely necessary.

3) There should be no adverse affects to the chrome, I have not heard of any issues at this point.

Here is a pic of my cleaned and polished BD bust...
