Official 1/6th Darth Vader Thread

Remember the excitement of that first teaser shot of Vader posed with Anakin. I think Vader had one of the coolest pre-reveal marketing campaigns at Sideshow, it was a lot of fun, especially seeing if their Photoshop-proof photo was really impossible to enhance, which it was, I tried but there was nothing to bring out

I'm sure you've planned out the shoot already Maulfan, can you give us a hint of what we're waiting for?
Are you shooting him alone or will you be setting up scene specific shots?
Can't wait to see your pictures and get the first impressions - this figure can't ship soon enough!!

I don't want to get into specifics, I want it all to be a surprise, but I will say there will be variety.

I am doing all the preliminary work I can though, I plan to get right to it once he's in my hands.

I may not post them immediately but I promise to take box photos for everyone before I take him out.

Congrats Maulfan!. Your photo work is definitely the best. I actually discovered the Freaks board from a link to one of your photos and have always been amazed by your work. Your entry was definitely my favorite, probably because I snapped a similar image based on that poster with the Hasbro VOTC figures back when they first came out. Of course, it was no where near the quality of yours, but it was fun trying to get those figures into the same poses as the poster (and remain standing long enough to take a few shots).

Anyway....simply cannot wait to see your photos of Vader! It will be a day long remembered...

Thanks, I may do a follow up to that, I would have loved to included the Han in Carbonite but it showed up the day after the deadline, so for fun, I may explore what composition I can come up with adding that in now.
