Both Transformers and GI Joe complete series box-sets will be avaliable for purchase first at SDCC, and they will make room in the box-set for the GI Joe movie.

I don't think they will look that much better on Blu-Ray, but it would be a great option. You know at some point they will come back and milk us again with a Blu-Ray edition later.....so its just a way to get paid twice. Look at the first season of the original Star Trek. Its been re-mastered, then on HD-DVD, and now on Blu-Ray......and its way older than G.I. Joe or Transformers.

Are '80s cartoons REALLY going to look THAT much better on Blu Ray?

Nope. Unless they go in and fix some of the coloring errors too. I remember one episode with a female cobra officer who would instantly switch from pants to thong and back to pants between "cuts." :lol

I remember A LOT of similar coloring errors on the old TMNT cartoon. There'd be scenes where on turtles are would be the color of their bandana and the bandanas were always getting swapped up.

I'll most likely purchase this set if for nothing more than nostalgia. I'm sure someone will have a special on it. Sure glad I didn't buy the DVD sets though...

I think I'll at least grap the first Season, but with Watchmen coming out on the same day I probably won't watch it for a while. I like that they've included the old toy commercials, that'll be a cool feature.

My biggest fear is that buying the individual seasons, they'll ^^^^ everyone over like they did last time and stop at Season 2.1. :( Then I would've been left trying to either find the complete series set at an astronomical price on ebaY, or buying some pirated copy from some ********* at a con for an undeserving mini fortune.

I ordered mine last month with Transformers. They also offer free 2 day shipping, which is pretty sweet.

They will be releasing them all seperate. Hasbro has the rights and hopefully they won't go under like Rhino did.

The box set is totally worth it for all the extras you get. I love the drive, it's a cool little add on.
