Congrats and thanks for the pics! I didn't know the HB bust was that tall. Looks pretty good.
 
That piece looks nice. So many of the stock photos make the bust look so monotone red, but your pics accentuate the details and variations in shading.

Yes, photos just don't do this piece justice. It's really not as bad as folks make it out to be once you see it in person.
 
it mightve been better received if it werent for the awesome FB that came out a long time ago for it to be compared to .... :monkey1

I put my name on everything....that way its official :D

The bust board me within 5 minutes of looking at it...he looks like he fell asleep with his eyes open. Of ALLLLLLLL the facial expressions they could have chosen....that was the best they could come up with??
Then to add insult to injury they charged $600 for it......:rolleyes:

I'm a big HB fan and I just don't see the appeal of this bust. :huh


I think the HB2 PF has a much better sculpt than this piece.


I have the FB bust and the Howard Studios 1:1 bust and I think both are 100 X's better.
 
I dunno know why all the negatives about this bust...sure they could have gave him a snarl or a cigar...but its a great piece thats highly underrated. I mean you have to see it in person, its a fantastic bust that deserves some appreciation. But to each his own I guess...I'm happy with Big Red :chew
 
maybe it's the paintjob as well? most pics I have seen seem to have a plain red paintjob, without much shadowing or highlighting... does the paintjob look more substantial in person?
