i kinda dig the textured paint...............almost a hammered steel look to it.......or pot metal that has been weathered. i missed all the terminators first go round so i have a lil' catching up to do at retail....

It's ok imo, as if though it has been drenched in a big pot of acid, and surface metal has solidified with micro-air-bubbles or something, basically seen a lot of action on the battlefield.

This is badass. I ordered T600. I may get T700. Too awesome to resist.

If the movie is as cool as those pictures, I'll be happy. Jesus, those are Badass, indeed!

T-700 looks WAY better in those pics than in the previous ones, IMO. He really just looks like a more "realistic" T-800 there. Can't wait to add him to my collection! :chew

They look awesome, but still on the fence with them. Not sure if I want to go into T4 after the bad T3. I love T1 and T2, already have HT regular and BD Endos plus I'm going to save some cash for the 1:1 HCG Endoskull bust (already have the SS 1:1 combat bust). Have to think hard about these 2 figures...

Really? Hmmm.. kinda odd to me. I collect based on the actual item and whether or not I like it. Not based on how good the source material is. If I had the extra funds (which I call "Daddy's Selfish Money" :lol) I'd get both regardless if the movie ended up being a complete crapfest disaster. I thought AVP:R was garbage.. flat out garbage.. but I wanted (and got) the Wolf. Like the design.. could care less that the source material was trash. For me, that doesn't go hand-in-hand.

See, I couldn't be more the other way. Which is good and bad, wish I could be like you to collect some figs I want, (i.e. HT Golgo looks AWESOME, but I have no idea what it is from, so 'ban' myself).

It is good to save money though. :)

I like collecting from Star Wars Original trilogy IV, V, VI (mostly Imperials), Terminator 1, 2, Predator 1, 2, Aliens 1, 2, 3, anime Ghost in the Shell/Appleseed (anything Shirow) etc.. Sometimes I get an AVP figure/statue as well, or some anime figures that don't fit my usual collecting habits. Besides that if you read my post above I'm saving $$$ for the HCG 1:1 Endoskull bust which for me is very important. ;)

I saw that.. but I got the impression you were "on the fence" because you weren't sure if the movie would suck or not like T3. And I've seen other people make comments like that.. they'll wait to see if the movie is good. And I just don't get that. If it doesn't really pertain to you, sorry for including you. But the whole idea that the source material has to be good in order for you to get something you really like makes no sense to me. I'm not a fan of LOTR, never read the books and have only seen the first movie + a little of the second. And that crappy animated "Hobbit" when I was a kid and I just flat out am not into it. At all.

But with that being said: I would love to have that one big crazy ogre with the hand print on his face, or the other one that looks similar. Or that big huge dude, Sauron I think. The big dude in the armor, the bad guy. Or those weird dudes on the horses that look like Grim Reapers. I just like the designs.. has nothing to do with my feelings on the movies, etc.

Light the torches and sharpen the pitchforks LOTR fanboys, but I thought the first 2 movies sucked which is why I've never completely seen the second and had no desire to watch the third. But it doesn't change my opinion on the designs.

For me now is more important to get the HCG 1:1 Endoskull bust from my friend since these are getting more scarce and expensive every day. As for the 1/6 T-600 and T-700 figures I might get them later in the future, since I already have the original Hot ToysT-800 regular and battle-damaged figures and they could look cool all together. We'll see if my book I recently published will sell well, then I'll be buying the 2 new Endo figures sooner than I thought.

It's not that odd at all. For people like me I'm not really a "collector" - I dont just buy it cos I like it, I buy it cos it's a souvenier from the movie and I only really want souveniers or collectables to remind me of a movie I liked.

Even if the movie was great, I personnaly would still hesitate to buy immediatly anyway cos the movie hasnt stood the test of time nor have I grown up watching it (another souvenier, not just of the movie but of my childhood).

I collect stuff pretty exclusively based on whether I like it from some other media (movies, tv shows, comics, toys I had as a kid, etc.). If I didn't love Terminator (movie), I would never consider buying a figure based off of it, and the only reason I'm interested in the T-700 is because it looks like the T-800 (which I can't afford). Until I see the movie, I don't care much for the 600, though I've got it pre-ordered just in case :)

Surely, there are lots of people out there who do collect based purely on the nature of the piece, and not the license to which it is connected, but I think those people are certainly in the minority. Otherwise, we wouldn't have all these licensed toys, with all the costs involved. Instead, all of Sideshow's stuff would be newly created "warriors," "soldiers" and "monsters" of some kind.

I'm so stoked for NECA's T2 figures cos I love that movie and Tankman's sculpts own...everything from the hair to the clothes to the face just kick ass...there's even dirt on the elbows of his leather jacket.

But this is the HT T-600 & T-700 thread? There is a seperate one for the NECA Terminator toys.

Does anyone think t-600 is worth the price? I'm still unsure of whether or not to get that. Also, are there going to be anymore figures from HT of T4?

Given the going rates for figures of this type, I think it is probably worth it if you like it. He looks HUGE. As for more T4 figures, it wouldn't surprise me in the least. They rolled out the Dark Knight figures little-by-little as I recall. It might depend on pre-order sales, which I imagine will be pretty good.

If I wouldn't have spend my money on the Bat-Pod, some of TDK figures and especially on the big moneytaker: the Tumbler, than I would certainly buy this bad guy (T-600)...but one has to make choices sometimes.

personally The Tumbler > T-600 if I had to chose now :) cause both their prices will only increase in time, and since the Tumbler is a must have, I'd rather have it one as cheap as possible, and that is as soon as possible.
So I just hope the prices for the T-600 won't boost up too high in the future, cause I will buy it some day :)

bottom line: if money ain't an issue, it's a must have this T-600, I sence an iconic filmcharacter
