In response to the now locked flipping thread, I thought it would be cool to see what kind of deals people have come across. I'm talking about pieces that you've bought off of a fellow freak, ebay, the statue forum, or anywhere else EXCEPT directly from the manufacturer.

It's primarily for Marvel based goods, but if you managed a helluva deal on something else, do tell.

No recent "good" deals, but I knew someone who had a good deal on a Grey Hulk PF....

Tell me about it. funny thing was I didnt have the cash on me when I saw it so I ran to a ATM grabbed the cash and ran back....longest 10 minutes of my life.

I got my Predator 1:1 for $600 shipped and my Hulk PF for $550 shipped, I thought those were good deals.

Also got my Nazi Kroenen for $120 shipped (I think, it was around that price anyway) and my Modern Kroenen for free from a board member.

Also got both Hobbits for $55 shipped, thanks to a generous board member who hooked me up with a $100 gift card.

Payed retail for my Jason part 3.

Got my Masterpiece Ultra Magnus from a board member for $100 shipped, when it was going for $250-$300 on ebay.

Got Hicks and Vasquez from board member for $300 shipped when they were selling for about $300 each or more on ebay. Hicks was actually going for around $450 at the time.

There probably more stuff, but I forget a lot.

Not a tremendous deal, but still good to me: RAH Ghost Rider for $75 shipped. I've had much better luck getting great deals on my SW stuff, like the PF Vader for $275, or Kenobi PF for $190 shipped.

Hmmm...I bought an Ancient Predator (SV), Hudson, and a Chopper Predator off eBay from a guy in Canada for $120 each. I also bought a PF Captain America for $199 off eBay.

The best was buying a Sideshow PF Logan off eBay for around $120+shipping and it came in with broken claws. The seller filed an insurance claim through USPS because I didn't want to be out the double shipping (to me and to him for refund). A few weeks later I got a letter from USPS to bring the statue into the office for inspection; she gave me two choices: 1) leave the PF for a refund or 2) get a written quote for repairs. I took it to the local comic & model shop and they wouldn't touch it. When I told the USPS lady this, she said my only choice was to turn it in for a refund, which I declined. About a month later I received a check in the mail from USPS for the entire paypal.com amount from usps for "repairs."

Bought a Green Hulk PF off a fellow collector on here for 300 when the Cdn dollar was better. Means more that the guy who I bought it from is a friend on here. Always good to deal with great people.

A friend gave me a $50 Sideshow card, and I got Bespin Luke for $13 shipped. That is the best 1/6 deal I've had yet.

This won't mean much to most people here, but I also got another great deal in the past with a Palisades Jim Henson for $30 shipped, which I traded for an elusive red shirt Zoot.
