Only the outer covering of the wheel is rubber.

That you've measured? Because a stock 23" monitor is actually 23" from one corner of the viewing area to the other, not the width of the unit.

Ah yeah, just measured it. Thats not my pic though, but the pod is one inch longer than the entire width of the display.

It's damn huge man! Twice the size of Batman! So I got no choice but to display both Batman & Batpod on open shelf...
