Just a heads up for you guys that want this one Blu-Ray AND get the Crystal Skull. I was able to return the DVD that came with the Skull to Wal-Mart without a recpeit. They give you store credit, but you can buy the Blu-Ray version for only an additional 2 dollars and change. A little annoying, but worth it.

Just wish I knew I was getting a Blu-Ray before I opened Iron Man

I don't see how. I bought the DVD. I returned the DVD to a different store and payed that different store a few dollars more to get the Blu-Ray version instead. Everyone won in the end. Plus if it was illegal, I wouldn't have been able to do it.

I don't think it is illegal. Why would it be? Since it is unopened walmart will just turn around and put it on there shelf. You kind of take a risk though if you really want the blu ray because sometimes places will not take dvds and such without a receipt. So you could buy it a best buy and be unsuccessful in returning it else where.

Just finished watching this again on BR. It's the same as when I saw it in the theater. It's good but not great. Easily my least fav of the 4. Just don't know if I'll buy it or not. I don't see myself watching it that many times to warrant a purchase (got it from Netflix now)

Doesn't change the fact that it's still illegal. You're entering the store to exchange an item under the false pretense that you purchased it there.

That was exactly my thought! I was gonna get blue ray but I thought this movie was nicer with the soft focus look of SD dvd. I might eventually get the blue ray later on.

I really wish he did. I really enjoy the great in-depth "making of" videos he does. I've got the special editions for E.T., Close Encounters, all 4 Indy movies from Spielberg so far. His buddy George Lucas has done audio commentary for all 6 Star Wars movie DVDs. Why won't Steven?

Spielberg is just one of the handful of filmmakers who are against Audio Commentaries because they don't want anyone watching the films themselves outside of their finished context. He's often cited an example of where he personally watched LAWRENCE OF ARABIA while sitting next to David Lean himself, and Lean was providing Spielberg a live commentary during the movie. And Spielberg (even though he was watching the movie for the zillionth time while sitting next to one of his idols) wanted him to hush so he could just watch and enjoy the movie!

Personally, I'm a commentary geek myself. I love them. But I also understand and respect Spielberg and other filmmakers' artistic right to decline doing them.

Note: Lucas tried really hard to get Spielberg to do a commentary for the original INDY trilogy when it was released 5 years ago, but to no avail. So I doubt we'll ever see Spielberg doing a commentary on any of his films.

Doesnt he realize he could turn it off? You can't turn off the Dean guy... but you can turn off the commentary.

Making OFF is great and all, but sometimes you just want to know about the one little scene, and thats why I love commentaries. Besides, some of them are really fun and entertaining, like Hellboy's or Invader Zim's.
