Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

Wow he looks great, and awesome photos too, Snake. The cowl looks great as-is. You said you scraped off a bit from the neck? How much?

Cheers!

Really not much, I don't have a dremel and cannot be bothered to pay up for one, SO I just blasted the inside of the neck with a hairdryer and scraped out a groove the best I could. Was fairly easy and improved the look greatly. (Although it looks AMAZING in hand anywhoo!) :D

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

I'm going to have to call Toys2 and have my TDK and Batpod order split...I have them on the same preorder...and I wont want to wait for this to arrive!

Yeah, as it would appear my vehicle order has been pushed back to the end of February now. Even though I ordered start of August. Though thats a UK order.

well that's cool that you don't have to do a lot of shaving to get the desired result. *phew*

Re: The Dark Knight New Costume PHOTO Thread.

Even though this is going off topic a little, somebody added the longer cape.

Main focus, cape. Hmm, suede...

Hi guys,
Just wanted to thank BBQ for his awesome modification tip. Looks very realistic and I knew I would have to do some type of modifying for my own satisfaction. Like all of Hot Toys figs they nail some incredible detail but come short on a few. The capes have never been in my opinion right. I fixed mine by using a black imitation suede material that I got a local fabric store. October is the best time to buy this stuff. Used the original begins pattern and cut out new cape that is more accurate as far as texture and overall appearance. See PICs on this. Following BBQ's advice I did the Dremel modification in about 20 minutes on Chest and rear. Don't be afraid to remove suit as it is all very easily undone. Sanded smooth and put armor back on. Did not do neck yet. Cape is fastened by small black cords that were super glued to neck areas of cape( pinched glued area together for strength) and threaded through cape holes on armor to simply tie in a knot ( need to be able to be removed to use wired cape for Batpod, can't wait for that!) This is a quick fix to making The HT DK figure as realistic as possible. Grapple gun needs to hang off of left belt and not in back ( making holster for it) I modified my DC DK to a 1/6 and it was very time consuming as compare to this. Good luck and enjoy my PICS. Thanks again to BBQ for the tips.
