I don't know what what kind of misery weed you guys are smoking (not shocked honestly). I absolutely loved this episode (and for the record, I was a bit underwhelmed by the first one). It gave us more time with Bo-Katan and revealed more about the fall of Mandalore and Mandalorean culture in general. It also had a lot of classic Star Wars feels. I also like the relationship they seem to be setting up with Dinn and Bo-Katan.

Don’t think so but who knows, they seem to change to rules constantly. Din is currently in possession of it. No reason she can’t pick it up and use it but it’s not currently hers to take the throne of Mandalore.

But Sabine gave it to Bo. I don’t really understand why Din couldn’t do the same. Maybe because he’s not in the same clan.

I’m with you. I loved it too. People love to complain on here. Let them. It’s their lot in life.

I have to agree. Three seasons in and this guy is just such an amatuer for someone who was supposedly the "Best in the parsec."

You think it'll be Din? Every that happened in this episode made me 100% confident it'll be Bo.

They clearly showed the difference between how Din and Bo handled the Darksaber. The entire episode pretty much focused on Bo's reignitement of her Mando pride. She got a lot of lingering shots. And even technically re-bathed in the waters herself and made eye contact with the Mythosaur. Outside of Din finally bathing in the living waters, he felt second fiddle to Bo in this episode.

Fair point and maybe that'll happen but I could still see it being Din...or Boba to pay tribute to the holiday special...

But later the Armorer clarifies that; e.g., the Darksaber was found; obviously it can be picked up and held by anyone, even given; but the nuance with the hard-core Deathwatch is that the lore indicates in order to rule Mandalore successfully, the sword MUST be won in a fight. Moff Gideon knew that as well.

The implication/tension between the clans seeming to be that (according to the Deathwatch) that Mandalore became weakened by not strictly following creed, and got sloppy. E.g. if Bo-katan (and her sister who had also ruled Mandalore) had kept to the creed, as far as the Deathwatch is concerned, Mandalore wouldn't have fallen. The "corruption" ended Mandalore.

So it remains to be seen what the truth of the sword is, and maybe the show will explore that. Maybe it'll be Din's lot to ditch the hardcore DeathWatch beliefs once and for all.

THANK YOU I absolutely detest her, And the fact that we have to keep reappearing on Tattooine so we can shoehorn her in somehow.

I like her. For me she gives an "everyman" hard-scrabbling vibe, doing what she has to, to get by. She's not wafting about in makeup and gauze, or pretty but poor and dignified, and all the other trope stuff.

Again, I'm sure I'm in the minority here...folks are probably happy with what we're getting and anxiously awaiting the "babbling-jump action" Grogu figures that are certainly on the way.

I'm just left stunned.

Well, I was less than enthused about Luke's appearance - at least that early on - and remain unenthused, since the show didn't show some b&#**# and stick Sebastian Stan in, as well as hold off until the end of the series for a big reveal. I was robbed.

But so many are ecstatic about Luke. But yeah, LOL, I'm happy. But I'll pass on the jump action Grogu; the one with the rolling eyeballs freaked me out.

Plus I didn't pick up the original Bo-Katan, so maybe I can get the next one with the longer hair and the Darksaber and light-ups. And Grogu blowing raspberries is hilarious.

After being underwhelmed by the first episode, this episode was much better. Still doesn't reach the heights of the first season, but it was a step in the right direction.

Hopefully now Din has bathed in the waters he can get back to being cool again and drop the exposition dialogue with Grogu.

Better than the first episode but still only okay. Dialogue seems very strained on all fronts, robotic almost.

Grogu doing force flips is utterly ridiculous and not in a funny or good way, it doesn't work with the prop/puppet at all. The robot thing was cool though.

Not on the level of the first two series so far. If I were to ascribe a feeling to it, it would be "cartoonish".

The second episode was mostly ok. I just found the pacing of it and the overall structure a bit weird. I think episode 1 and 2 would have worked better as 1 episode with some fat edited out.

It's just turned into a big pile of "who gives a ****." Star Wars, for Star Wars sake with no emotional core. Or better yet, a toy commercial for franchise addicts?

There's never really been a "point", it's always been more of an adventure of the week show than it has been a high stakes story. The plot is secondary to and is only there to allow for the adventures.

The point was to get "the kid back to his people" and in doing so the character of Din, who was a one dimensional bounty hunter bad-ass, grew to be a better person/character, understand the more important values of life, etc. Hence why the end of season 2 was so emotional, because he'd fulfilled his duty and the two were parting ways after their adventure.

Now it's fetch quests, and again, the kid is now pointless, other than to look cute and sell toys. SW for SW sake.

And again, Din has just gone back to his old ways, but with a new "thing" shadowing him.
