The head of the GT Remake Cloud really is something, it always catches me off guard with how good it is. Tremendously impressive that they managed to achieve that level of quality on a mass production run of an unlicensed figure.
And that's the reason I didn't pre-order Cloud or Sephiroth. I didn't believe Gametoys could match the prototypes - fool me once. The late tax is now beyond my budget, so AC Cloud has been pre-ordered through Kit.

Hmmm...well, it’s not ALL bad that you missed out on FFVIIR Cloud. AC is the sequel to it afterall and his outfit in AC has been featured across many games. It’s still a great look and it’s my fav.

I’d say don’t fret. This goes to every other Collector that missed out on cloud.

Remember. There’s always FFVIIR part TWO, to look forward to. And that figure will undoubtedly have more improvements over this one.

Don’t feel like you missed out. Ex soldier cloud will grace your shelf one day.

I apologize but what is a "museum pose?" Does that mean just standing still with no articulation? That is how I planned to display mine anyhow as I fancy that look anyhow. Call me crazy.

Yes, essentially this:

Hum not at all, unfortunatly Gametoys Cloud's arms are not better than Phicen/Jiaoudoll.
Personally I let mine in museum pose.
For the arms, i think VTS is the on which have better quality
Wow, gotta be careful with mine (when I receive it)

Oh snap! i wish they'll be generous and include those exposed joints type of arms. i really prefer them over the seamless ones D: it's sad that they went full seamless on this one. do they have a page or something where we can address stuff like this?

Speaking of part two, I'm hoping Square gives the cast costume makeovers. Since the story is now split into different parts I think it'd be fun if they got new looks between games, even if in the original game they obviously kept the one look through the whole thing.

After seeing those images of how tore up the arms where, I immediately put them back into resting position with the sword on his back. As I mentioned once you can get away with leaving the arms bent in those type of poses for a day maybe two or three. Any longer they will eventually give in, and tare. Thankfully I tend to alternate, and never leave his arms bent for longer then it needs to be.

For the photos i posted, it's not mine fortunatley, it's just to show you that you have to be careful with it.
For Mine I let it in a museum pose, I never bent the arms

Someone did a pretty extreme posing then. I have mine where he is holding a materia with a bended arm in less than 45 degree, that shouldn't stretch this material that much and there is no problem. The image that you posted was from extreme posing I refuse to believe that it "just happened" .

To be honest I have no idea how this happened

Based on nothing else but the color of materia and the way the blade would be sitting on the shoulder, I think it may be one Twitter user I've seen posting who pretty consistently had the arms bent pretty far in the pictures. But who knows...

Will be interesting to see if their Tifa figure uses a medical silicone upper body too - in the event she releases before AC Cloud, we'd be able to get a proper look at how it compares durability-wise sooner rather than later.

I mean this seamless stuff is just trying its best to copy like actual human skin
but the overall quality isnt really there, thats why they are still just trying. The best for now is still not good enough to do everything with it.

All of this stuff is going to break if you push it. (brute forcing the joint into different positions or leaving it with bend joints for a long time)
It doesnt matter if its a 150 USD 1/6 figure or if its a 6000 USD 'doll'. The material is supposed to look good
but it cant compete with real skin in terms of basic every day life.

If you brute force a complete seamless body onto something like a motorbike and leave it like that forever
its going to be bad, really bad
