So after a while Admin of One sixth Republic decided to join in the comments on my Stallone post and started attacking me publicly . Then they said using the OSR profile, that if I insulted admin again ( which I hadn't) they were going to suspend me . So I messaged the OSR profile and they banned me from the group and removed my whole thread. The next day another member posted that same photo of the figure and said that the eyes didn't look right and after about 30 mins Admin removed his post. So I contacted that profile again saying that they are dictatorship and hide behind a OSR profile as none of the Admin would explain themselves directly. Then they stooped so low as to insult my 10 year old daughter.

Wow, sounds toxic as hell over at OSR.
The plot thickens on this fig, probably not going to lay $260 down on this one.

Totally unrelated to the discussion of the Stallone figure, a member was banned for posting about how a known 1:6 store/vendor in Hong Kong is refusing to communicate and ship completely paid for figures to a customer and going so far as to deliberately and purposely stop communicating with the customer.

OSR admins have deleted posts by the member and supposedly others discussing the situation and also implying the vendor (who are apparently friends and supporters of the vendor) have a right to keep the money and not ship the figures out.

I guess what's going on with the Stallone figure is no different.

Basically he is surprised that the figure has been developed by the Sly team, but he seems also unaware of the work of the KP team and, definitely, the fact that KP has been removed from the promotion does not help to believe in the final result. He is also wary of differences between the prototype and the final result. Those KP reviews are very much needed.

There was a time when collectors honestly reviewed figures based on its merits resulting in a rating of it sucks, it doesn't suck, or somewhere in the middle and that was that.

Nowadays, it evolved for better or worse to ego, brand loyalty, having a following/popularity with views, and mob mentality all in varying degrees.

The Sly Stallone Collectibles pending 1:6 figure(s) and other choice examples of discussions found with CF and elsewhere proves the preceding.

No matter what a collector/forum/group claim, there is no such as 100% objectivity (let alone fairness) anymore. Anything and everything have a said and unsaid bias.

It's up to the individual to decide for himself/herself, but that too at times causes disagreements.

Is KP and their manufacturing facility 100% responsible for producing the figures from start to finish?

Or did KP do the design work, create the prototype, and then hand off the spec, etc. to the so-called management team (i.e., Nick, etc.) and they did whatever to manufacture the figure not involving KP, etc.?

In May of last year they told me that "Our team is only following artist direction and production management". I recently contacted them again and they told me that "KP is working helping them [the Sly Stallone Shop team] in production and art direction". Reading it again now I really don't know to what extent that collaboration goes, if they are totally in charge of the production or if, as you say, they hand off the spec to the management team. In any case, I hope it is the first option.

There may be certain contractual restrictions in the collaboration agreement with the SSS. Maybe this is because KP released two unlicensed Rocky figures a while back, or maybe the store wants to make a name for itself in the 1/6 scale world, or a mix of both.

In February 2021 I asked them for news, and they told me that "Anyway soon (mid March), we will announce the full figure with pictures and pre orders". Given the lack of news, I asked them again in May 2020, and they replied that "It seems [Mr. S] decided to keep exclusive the release for ONLY his own shop. The fact that KP are preparing video reviews makes me wonder if they are going to return to the front line in the promotion of the figures, or if these videos will be exclusive to the SSS channels, and KP will remain anonymous even though members of the artistic team are mentioned.

I hate to conjecture/guess on this, but I agree the truth is not clear at all and I hope the KP team is not being guided by promises of connections and fame that'll lead to opportunities, respect, and recognition for themselves within the 1:6 hobby and outside the 1:6 hobby.

Such is easy to fall for when the promise/prospect of a revered celebrity endorsement/license comes into play. They're simply producing a limited edition mass produced collectible.

I don't see the Sly Stallone Shop as being remotely targeted at 1:6 collectors or the 1:6 hobby regardless of its design and production pedigree (no disrespect to the KP crew).

What's going on in varying nuances reeks of the Molecule8 fiasco with John Lennon to an extent.

Just reading/hearing that name gives me goosebumps. I really hope that the people of KP know what they are doing and that everything goes well for them. They have shown that they are good and love what they do, I think they deserve the best.
