There was a guy on a facebook group i'm on that asked yesterday if we(The collective *we* of the group), reckoned Hot Toys would release Snowspeeder Luke this friday in HK.
There are always people that don't realise there is absolutely no rhyme or reason to release dates. For every "Arc Reactor test" Tony Stark that was announced while the figure(Previously totally unannounced), was already on the boat to SS, there are others which can take two years or more for them to figure out the best way to make them. And indeed, most figures have wildy varying times from announcing them, to them hitting the market.
I do recall hearing before(Perhaps more "figure-knowledgable" members here can chime in), that HT often times collaborate with Sideshow on some of Sideshow's releases(I remember reading it in a thread here about a clone figure SS released), but i have no idea if that meant HT had anything to do with making the armour.
It may be Cody is just around the corner. Or he may take another year, lol.

"Im cancelling this, he's taking too long and I'll order three of the new Clone troopers instead."
me: "You're aware the release date for these is like a year away, right? And we'll have Cody in-hand before then."
"But Cody is taking too long!"
me: "He'll still be here way before those troopers."

People in the Facebook comments are always a bunch of crybabies to be fair.
The thing that amuses me is that people always seem to have this wild hope that with each PO, HT is NOT gonna make them wait for that one. That figure, just that one alone is going to get special treatment.
I dont care what figure you buy: Marvel, DC, SW whatever! You're gonna endure six "delayed" emails. Newbs need to absorb that message, HT is *not* about instant gratification. [Well except for Vintage Fett, he was pretty instant - I will give them that. <3]
Hell, we in the US don't even have Mando v1.0 and he's been out in the East for a few weeks now.
They could give us Cody, tho. Its time and past time.

Think about me who has been waiting for Batman Returns Penguin since HT announced it Feb 18, 2012.
Some newb is going to post that 2022 will be the 30th anniversary and that HT will make Penguin then.
I'm betting they won't even make the new Penguin from The Batman.

That sucks. They're doing the same thing to SW fans with The Amazing Never-Present Licensor-Approval-Needed Jango. There's this one guy on the HT FB page who, no matter what the new announcement is, always posts a Shazaam! pic. Bruh. We're *not getting* Shazaam. That ship sailed like, eight light-years ago. Give it up.
I have a feeling Pengy is in the same boat, altho I'd bet plenty more people would rather see him than Shazaam.
...And I don't understand it! Because we can talk about Ahsoka, but HT Pfeiffer Catwoman would really, truly BURN. DOWN. THE. INTERNET. They could make 16 bazillion dollars off of this one figure, and they -still- won't do it. Even I would buy that one! NOPE.

The funniest thing about that Shazzam figure is, it was announced on April 1st, and we'll never know if it actually existed or they were just messing with us
