I don't like Zack Snyder's vision for the DC movie universe at all (though his casting was generally fantastic), but I loved WW and am stoked for WW84.

As far as this figure, I absolutely love the headsculpt. I'm surprised there haven't been more complaints about the eyes looking to the left, but it gives the sculpt more life than a straight gaze would. I've loved the golden armor outfit since the initial teaser poster for the movie, and I may break my one figure rule for this version of WW (I have a modified JL figure to represent the first WW movie and want to keep that for a "classic" look in my collection).

Like some others, I want to see the movie first before deciding between the regular and deluxe versions, especially with the high price tags. I'm leaning towards the deluxe even though I'll probably never display the wings spread out, but if I did, what a display that would be...

Keep in mind HT halted production due to Covid and I’m sure they’re probably not at 100% operation. This will cause figures to priced higher and higher inflation. I feel consumer goods for the most part on everything disrupted from Covid will go up. Sad but not surprised. Plus this is a one and done figure. They can’t make variants of this like regular version. They have to make up the tooling and engineering.

Now they have a year to figure out how to prevent this. :lol (red circle on her abdomen)

I find all the discussion on the Snyder Cut really bizarre. Either you care to watch it or you don't. It's not being advertised as canon or the "remake" or anything. I want to see it from a creative perspective. It's rare to see two different versions of the same movie.

As for this figure, it can't fit in the detolf with the wings out. I think that's a dealbreaker. I don't want stuff sitting out anymore. I'd consider a regular outfit version with that new head sculpt.

I'm also keen to see how the sculpt looks in production. We've been burned specifically with this figure a lot.

I love that look to the left and the slight smile. It's like the look she has when she gets hit by Doomsday and looks at him life "that's all you got? I've had worse". It's the look that Superman needs to have more of.

Stoked to finally get a sculpt like this. I'm just really hoping the normal armoured version has a similar sculpt!

EDIT: In regards to the Snyder version, I was speaking to my brother about it last night and we both agreed: A - really excited for it B - this is probably one of the only cases where someone can actually say, if you don't like it or not looking forward to it, this film REALLY isn't for you. It just isn't. You've got no right to be annoyed by it or upset or hateful towards it like you're being forced to watch it or care about it.

It is simply down to the fans wanting it and supporting a director. The amount of malice I've seen online towards him and his work is incredible. Whether it will turn out bad or not doesn't matter, what matters is that he and people who worked on his original vision are finally going to be able to finish it up. WB's casting him out, bailing on his vision, using his daughters suicide as a mask and then butchering his work is awful. They're going to stand to profit from it in the end, but it's a massive win and unprecedented, and hopefully a message to studios to let their directors fulfill what they were hired to do.

Exactly !! Like anything on the internet it innevitably turns into an "I'm right, you're not" type argument. I decide not to take part in any sort of bs arguments, cause no one "wins" one on one online arguments.

I am just so stoked that we are getting it and will enjoy it totally !!!

I'll be signing up to HBOMax (however that is possible in Europe) and giving them my support for The SnyderCut and also to enable possible future projects like another Cavill standalone movie, or whatever.

These detractors are so short sighted. They would prefer nothing for all than something grander for many.

Like you say they don't have to watch it.

Looks phenomenal, especially the sculpt.

You can see the paint damage, though. Hope they choose a better paint and find a way to stop the damage. I'd rather have no articulation in that section to be honest.

That's not paint damage. it's her hair.
Unless you mean the shoulder pads. That's light reflection on a fold.

Having a closer look, it seems to me that the detailing on the armour and wings could be a tad sharper. It looks very flat and unrefined as it is.

Keep in mind HT halted production due to Covid and I?m sure they?re probably not at 100% operation. This will cause figures to priced higher and higher inflation. Good point to bring up. If HT can't operate at 100% for the short term, then only release dates should be impacted since these figures usually take a year to release. But if it's a medium/long-term capacity issue (likely), then that affects prices as well as release dates. Ports/cargo would also be operating at reduced capacity, so Sideshow's and other distributors' markups would increase as well. The other recent HT preorders haven't crept up in price as much (nor have the release dates), so it'll be interesting to see if this is a one-off based on the tooling or if it's the start of a new trend as the industry starts to respond to reduced operations.

It's funny that you see a smirk in the slight smile while I see some of the joy of the character from the solo movie. Just goes to show different people can interpret the same thing different ways. :hi5:

I don't know if your edit was directed towards me or the larger Snyder discussion (I'm assuming the latter), but I have mixed thoughts on the Snyder cut of JL. I don't think WB should have given him the keys to the DC universe in the first place (let's just agree to disagree on this), but once they did, there was a better way to handle what happened with JL. On a creative level, I'm glad he's able to go back and finish the movie after all the studio interference, but I don't like how aggressive some of the fans were to make that happen (it sets a bad precedent of catering to the most vocal parts of the fanbase). I don't plan to watch it (and kudos to those who do), but I am slightly curious to find out how this new edit differs from the theatrical cut of JL (which was highly flawed, but at least somewhat enjoyable).

It's a Prototype some are held together with blue tack and tape. The final production versions should be fine. My Midas Iron Man has never flaked or chipped.

Yup same with Captain Phasma. Their final figures are usually sealed up really well. And this will be all plastic, so there won't be any hard diecast edges rubbing up against anything.

That's not paint damage. it's her hair.

You can see it clearer in this video - there's various paint scuffs including the wings and various places on her chest/torso

Haha, no I can see both, but I think it's the same sort of thing, that playful but also joyful smile. I think because it's a smile on the verge of becoming multiple smiles, helps with her eyes in this sculpt. Which. Are. Insane. I think that's one of the biggest improvements is they nailed the eyes.

Also it was just a general comment about the hate for the ZS cut, not aimed at anyone in particular :)

Good to hear about your Phasma and Midas! Hopefully this'll be the same - personally I think it's still a bit too gold and shout be a bit more dull and matte Gold, but either way I'll be happy to have this!

I really like this design, but it is so pity they did not wait till the release date. I prefer to watch the movie before ordering a figure.

It looks like that lower point on the chest armor is scratching the paint off the torso armor. Maybe they should just shorten that so its not rubbing against the paint. (even if it wouldn't be screen accurate)

There's multiple parts on the body with the scuffs, though. Not just on places where articulation occurs. But like others have said, Phasma and Midas Iron Man are holding up so maybe theyre just experimenting with different paint applications and it'll get a fix up in production.
