Hey, thanks! I just dry-brushed (lightly) with an acrylic black paint. If you look closely on the face, there's already some texture sculpted into the mouth plate. This makes it a little easier to give off the 5 o'clock shadow effect as the paint will fill into those sculpted areas. Start lightly, and see how it looks. I am happy with how mine came out

I am too! I'm def gonna give it a shot. Since we all have some extra time on our hands. This is my fav piece, so I've been doing some things here and there to him. Added some padding to chest, silver to scratches, re-glued his belt pouches the correct way and heated up the cowl tab to lay more flat. Now I wanted to give him more stubble and think I might look for those extender pegs for his legs. Alot of people have been doing this and I think it makes his portions look better. Also need to get a good word cape. Been using the SS cape, but it's just not the same.. I'm gonna give the beard a try and if anyone knows which ankle extensions to use, please shoot me a link. I'd very much appreciate it! Thanks again Rogue R. I'll let you know how he turns out

Finally pulled the trigger and ended up gluing down the tip of the cowl. After numerous hot water treatments, double-sided tape attempts, I bit the bullet and went for full-screen accuracy:

NOOOOOOOOO. Dropped the plate and my Yorkie grabbed it and ran off. Within 20 seconds of chase, she had gnawed it up!!! Now I need to find another stoic faceplate. Regardless of painting, that is the only one I use!! Is it ok that a grown man feels like crying?

Yeah, its nuts. I used to see them all the time when I would look for the Knightmare screaming plate. You would think with there being 2 different figures on the market that use the same plates, it wouldnt be so hard to find. But it's like that object that is ALWAYS in the way, until the day you finally need it and can't find it!

With ppl being at home all the time I think eBay stock is even drying up as folks buy parts to work on custom projects most likely. A couple weeks ago I saw a handful of MoS suits for sale but now that I need one for a custom, they?re all gone.

Hey all (or those who care) I Reached out on Reddit cuz I've been wanting to swap my JL supes for a BvS and listed a few things I needed (faceplates, stands, etc). Within an hour someone sent me an ebay link for the plates! $12 for 2 faceplates, 2 eyes and the tool. Money I didnt intend to spend, but I'm grateful to have been able to replace it. The closed mouth is the only one I really like out of the 3... The teeth look too strange in those poses. Although, the knightmare scream plate is something I've been after cuz something about that works for me. Couple of days, I'll give the beard another shot. Puppy Be damned!
