Woah what a 1/6 JP Velociraptor figure?!?!? That's friggin' fantastic! It would definitely be a stand out in the collection, an in scale film dinosaur among superheroes.

Chronicle Collectibles, they put up exclusive versions on their site a week or two ago and recently the regular versions went up for PO at other sites.

The raptor is over-priced by $200 for a figure with “at least 12 points of articulation”, and what will probably end up not looking as good as the prototype.

When I saw this on bbts i thought $200 bucks and i was flabbergasted by the price. You could buy the actual 1/1 sam neil for $600 dollars.

Pic via Toyark. Chronicle is doing their Jurassic Park figures in 1/12 scale also. It's kind of a baffling decision IMO, I think it'll draw interest away from the 1/6 versions. I had yet to preorder the 1/6 Grant, but was planning on it. But now I'm not so sure. Especially since they've got Malcolm here as well and they haven't shown anything else for 1/6 JP lately.

Not baffling at all -- you didn't PO 1/6th Grant, so they think that's a dying format.

1/12th IS the future.

I think it's baffling to do it immediately, and given how people aren't even preordering as much lately, I'd at least wait until release before I cut the legs out from under myself to see how the figure does. It's not like this is going to make me preorder these 1/12 version any faster.

They don't release or put up for preorder 1/4 and 1/6 version of the same characters at the same time. It's typically years in between.

The paint job on the 1/6 raptor isn't mind-blowing, but the 1/12 version looks about right for the size.

Not looking forward to the price tag, as I'm sure it'll be higher than it ought.

1/6 Ellie would go well with Grant. It is tricky to preorder these as they hen't produced 1/6 figures yet, and we don't know what quality we will have in hand, especially paint quality.

They should have launched the 1/6 line with Malcolm. We were in the middle of the Jeff Goldblum societal renaissance, it would have made much more sense.

I will get Grant, Malcolm and the raptor from JP - I think they look great for the scale, definitely that Mezco style which is no bad thing. The JP six inch legacy line is moving at a snails pace and these look more premium so it’s a win for me.

Hope a 1/6 Malcolm is still coming ... I would buy any character from JP in 1/6 Scale and Roland, Malcolm and Sarah from TLW. Plus anymore dinos they want to make in that scale.

Yeah I haven't pre-ordered Grant yet both because I am suspicious of the final quality, and I want to see if they do anyone else. I'd PO instantly if they had even teased Ellie as well.
