The ST is just not for me. I felt nothing coming out of TROS tonight.

But this little show just blew me away with Episode 8. Great characters, great action, terrific effects.

Check this out.

IG-11: Repurposed Assassin droid that acquires healing abilities, sacrifices himself.

Rey: Repurposed Palpatine that acquires healing abilities, sacrifices herself.

Both super powerful when first introduced, lol.

Sorry, but what are these "re"s here and there in the post texts? A new abbreviation, trend, etc?

His initials are DD. Double D. Who doesn't like double Ds?

Yeah I didn't initially realize that:

IG-11 is her mother!!! :horror

Her dad, Scott, was pulling a Lando with a robot!

Indeed an awesome finale tonight. Hitting on all cylinders!

It can be funny what can flip a switch with an older fan...went over to my display area after the show and looked at my E-WEBB cannon (thanks Sideshow for that awesome piece) and thought what a cool display option THAT's going to be with the (we know it's coming) HT "Beskar Armor" Mando! Leave it to the team to slide in some cool collection repurposing! (Yes, I'd like to think someone involved might have a thought or two about that once in a while...some fun wishful thinking anyway) :)

This show has been aces so far, here's to an awesome series two next year.

While we wait, can we have more Black Series, an "Art of..." book, a "Making of..." (Print AND digital please), another HT figure or two?

I've really enjoyed the music scores being released each week...very cool touch for fans.

This series is really showing how it's done. Respect for the fans with just the right amount of nostalgic bits, great production, great action and suitable acting.

This old Jedi sorcerer is lifting his saber high to this one!

I can't remember much about episodes 1-2 but I remember liking them... but I loved 3... and I really liked 8. 4-6 were forgettable mostly, or at least I have forgotten them. 7 was an good lead-in to 8 but a little long-winded.

OK here:

3
8
7
1
2
6
4
5

My take on removing the helmet -
Would have been more satisfying if the camera was panning, moving behind his head while the helmet is being removed, so only IG-88 could see the face, while we, 'living beings', still could not, thus sticking to 'The Creed'.

3 and 7 were pretty interchangeable for me. I liked 8 a lot but dropped it just a bit mostly because of tactical choices made by Moff Gideon. He points an E-Webb at them yet still allows like 24 hours to surrender. In the middle of the battle he kind of walked around daring anyone to shoot him.

:lol :lol

Too bad TROS couldn't justify the ST for you but we knew that that was a heck of a longshot anyway didn't we. :)

Yeah. I'll try to just leave it to the people who like it. I don't think the story they told is particularly interesting as a follow-on from the PT and OT, the characters and scenarios really did nothing for me - just things happening on the screen that I felt no investment in. When someone comes along and simply says that the victories of the past were not the final word - we thought they were for so long but now they're not - why should I take the new victory any more seriously? I know someone will probably argue against that but I will pre-empt and say look, I'm going to be stubborn on this one. It's the way I feel, my mind is made up, I'm not going to change it. And as long as I'm not harassing people of the opposite view that should be OK. There was an ending that I was quite satisfied with for the past 30 years, I'll stick with that.

Really enjoyed this episode! This season has been hit and miss, but it definitely ended on a high note.

Sad to have that outcome for certain characters, but believe it or not, I may miss Werner Herzog the most. Something about him made him a compelling villain.

I think the only thing I didn't care for was the Moff's "weapon of choice" in the end. Always thought that was a bit cheesy in the animated shows.

Looking forward to season 2.
