I placed my order with Timcent the day it became available in HK..so over 2 weeks ago.
total was $418 and that includes postage and the inevitable GST.
#sigh

Thanks for getting back to me with the info. That delivery time isn't too bad, but the extra dollars to get it sooner wouldn't really work for me personally. Damn our pissy dollar and GST. Anyway, sounds like it's going to be a feature of your collection. I totally get why you want it ASAP! :wave

mine is on the way. i must be crazy i just bought an extra head sculpt for my bespin escape custom. oh well two figures instead of one. no to find a place to display them

There does seem to be a much bigger drop-off in quality with their SW figures for some reason. The Marvel and DC figures always look really close to the proto, but then you have SW with ANH Luke, Hoth and Bespin Leia, Tarkin, Chewie, Obi-Wan, Jyn...

I think Star Wars fans just tend to be nitpicky. :wink1: I also wonder if there’s a requirement to kind of idealize some of the sculpts.

You didn't like Tarkin?

Vacuform plastic is absolute crap for figures at this price point. The base for the interrogation droid with the Tarkin/Vader set still pisses me off. At least this one has support from the styrofoam but this thin plastic warps and splits much too easily.

My complaint is the wrist pegs, especially on ANH Han, have broken more of those then eggs recently ...

Do the prototypes always look better than what they release? Not that it's bad, I just was a little disappointed when I saw the final product shots. Hopefully it's better in hand.

More often than not they look more less the same. Sometimes the final product looks worse than the prototype, sometimes it actually looks better than the prototype.

Agreed on the interrogation droid base. Like seriously, a small hard plastic base was really too much to ask? :gah:

So close!!!

It looks pretty great there.:yess: The material the backdrop is made of is a strange choice - while they've cheaped out a few times (like interrogation droid) this has to be the largest piece they have ever done that with. It's fine - I'm not sure regular accessory plastic would have looked much better but it's still a cut corner.

It's kind of funny that many prefer the Hoth or Bespin escape versions of Leia to represent ESB because Kenner chose this outfit for series 1 of their ESB line in 1980 (with an ANH pistol no less) - the Hoth outfit came much later and they never did make the Bespin escape version.

Actually I think this would look pretty cool with her holding the ANH pistol. It may not be accurate to the movie but does fit with the elegant look of the outfit, and of course it is Leia's signature weapon.

HT Hoth Leia had a spare ungloved pistol grip hand that should match.

I hate the standard flat 'pancake' hands that HT usually boxes figures with, they look so awkward and doll-like. Whenever possible I'll try to use hands where the fingers are more gestured or actively doing something.

Man I thought it was a perfect opportunity for HT to put a gimmick in and satisfy those that want a little more bang for buck. The exclusive would have been A Vader hand holding Solos pistol. The new exclusive accessory could accommodate your ESB HT Vader of course.
