The 2-tier light up stand I have is having the same issue now that another freak mentioned a few pages back. I flick it to the "off" position, and the lights aren't truly off as they still have a slight dim glow to them. I can only notice it if the lights are off in the room but not ideal. I ended up taking the batteries out.

Just with batteries in Hot Toys in general, what are your opinions on them? I appreciate a lot of the light up features but only really utilize them for photography or occasionally if it's easy access I'll switch them on if I'll be around the collection for a while. But I'm worried of eventual battery corrosion and I don't want that damaging anything....

Was trying to wait until my last payment in December and treat this as an Xmas gift to myself, but all these pictures made me too weak. Just paid the remainder. Can?t wait. Keep those pics coming.

I have the same problem with the AOU Thor light up Mjolnir. I have to keep the plastic tab inserted or take the batteries out. I bought it parted out for cheap on ebay, so I just kept it. I had both TDW Thor's and just wanted the hammer.

I've had 2 issues with mine - the lights on the body stick at a static top an bottom after 5 mins even with new batteries and my hilt button was jammed.
Thanks to sideshow tho I'm getting a new body + saber which allows me to have the CCFL mod done.

Received Vader Today.
Quick photo and opinion.
In one word. Awesome!!

Awesome pic! I think the LED saber looks great there! I'm glad I got the SS exclusive for the sculpt stand. Looks nice.

I heard from SS. They're sending me another head/helmet stand. :yess:

I love this piece! Don't know where I'm gonna put him yet... but I'm happy he's in my collection.

Very nice pics all around! I am becoming tempted even though I already have the 1/4 Iron Studios Vader... Very nice looking figures.

Seems like people are getting a lot of broken parts here and there

Is it just Sideshow that offers replacement parts if that happens or if you bought it somewhere else your screwed?

And do these retailers have actual spare parts of they have to break open a set each time a replacement part is requested?

It?s a shame many are receiving faulty parts. As for retailer replacements they have none; as far as my recent experience with DX Maul and BBTS goes. They requested the complete figure be returned and exchanged for a new one, which is such a waste IMO. I?m sure they just deal with Sideshow after that.
Im waiting on my Vader from Timewalker and hopefully these things will be in order. Haven?t dealt with them replacing parts but I feel it would be the same.

Nice, my office makeover I'm gearing up to do next spring includes one Stuva. How well would the helmet + figure fit in a Besta, you think? Would it even barely work?

I have the EFX Vader Helmet and it does not fit in a Besta with the stand. It might *just* fit without the stand, but the tusks would likely touch the door. I'd got the Stuva to give it breathing room.

Hopefully it's just the first few batches that have QC issues...

I ordered from SS which gives some peace of mind should there be anything broken

I am 0 for 2 on a working head base. The first one, only the red light worked, the second one both lights did not work. I have since emailed them for a third. Sideshow is great with replacements but I wish they would test their replacements prior to shipping.
