Cool pic! I'll be curious to see if anyone out there mods the BW Ecto into the 1A. There are enough GB fanatics out there that I have to imagine someone is planning it. ;)

I bet they do, though I wouldn't dare in case I messed it up :thud: I only paid $70 for mine yet you cannot buy one now for under $500 :rotfl

Correct the chrome was never that shiny in the film, but the rest of the car was pretty extremely weathered as well. The Blitzway shows no weathering at all, it's as if the vehicle just rolled off the assembly and the Ghostbusters added their modifications. Logically the bumpers and trim should match the rest of the vehicle.

True, and ideally I'd still prefer this to have proper weathered chrome. But on display I still think what BW is going for (if the color actually looks like what those latest pics suggest) comes a lot closer to the look of the movie than if it had the super bright and shiny chrome of those diecast cars. Since dirt naturally doesn't show up as well on white paint.

not really. The car, pre-conversion, had tired unpolished chrome. when they converted it, it was given a RESPRAY...... tell me, how weathered do you expect a brand new paint job to look?

there is nothing to voice, because it looks perfect.

Take a look at it on screen, there?s dirt grime, looks like scrapes etc on the ?new? paint job.

You went out of your way to voice your concern over the red paint on the fins, the steering wheel, and I assume the trim on the doors...this is ok by you, valiant even it would seem, but it would seem that those of us that see a problem with the cheap chrome look cheapening the overall look in our eyes is nit picking and whining...just trying to get an idea of where the line should be so I?m not a crybaby.

While I am guilty of it at times, taking a step back here it seems like some people are being overcritical. Just my opinion though. Personally I think it looks great.

Agreed it?s rather pointless to argue amongst ourselves. I don?t want to be mistaken, there is much to be praised with what BW has done, but the chrome I feel cheapens the attempt by degrees to me.

Welp pontificating if the 'chrome' is wrong on this is similar to pontificating about other collectibles being slightly off...except this is a $1300.00 collectible.

However, this will never be available again...so suck it up...

I think it looks great can?t wait to have it in hand. I do feel however due to the delays they should throw in 4 proton packs for the back seat display.
