Are you suggesting that we didn't get a Han Bespin because they have another ducktrooper, a Maz figure, a Poe-dressed-as-Rick-O'Connell figure and a death-of-Rose figure waiting in the wings?:gah::rotfl

Gosh you’re incredible...
Well:
no I’m saying that we know they’re in the works. They are apparently just not ready to show, but they are coming. We have seen that they are teased!
And I’m saying, if you like the ST or not, that you have to be counting those figures in the SW lot as well if you wanna talk about which focus HT has on SW. [emoji2368]

man if only we got jawas, ewoks, battle droids and jedi, totally unexpected things .....:wink1:

i'm pretty certain Howard is aware Han, Luke, Leia, Lando will sell and feels no need to build the hype.....

Yes, all right, I baited you. Just having some fun.:monkey3:hi5:

So, no new 1/6 Star Wars from Sideshow certainly lends credence to the theory they're throwing in the towel.

SS seems having new 1/6 ESB/ROTJ Vader

Btw, KA Kim was there. I was going to annoyingly ask questions of her to try and get some inside info, but her English isn’t very good. She had trouble understanding my question “how long are you in San Diego for?”. Very nice person though.

Should have shown her a photo of ESB Han and a calendar! Joking of course, it's cool you met her.

Friday and Saturday are the busiest days at SDCC. If they're going to reveal something new it'll be then. Be patient.
Or I'm wrong.

It’s the same pattern every year. Wednesday preview night is always followed by a dream of further reveals, but it never happens [emoji3525].

The showcase for SW this year has already wrapped up, and dont get your hope up for anything new added in ACGHK either.

Wonder, now that it looks like Sideshow didn’t renew the SW license, if Disney will still allow both an Asian and an American producer of 1/6 figures? I know that the license originally belongs to Hasbro, but they’re probably not getting into high end ...so, would there be anyone able to take over that license? Or will HT be the sole license? ...and I wonder if they could still have a license to produce statues, so we can still get 1/6 creatures and dioramas like the awesome Jabba? (What a way to go out Jabba was...)

Whats the point of taking over SW license at this point from another toy manufacturer? And there's no such thing as "take over", there is obviously written agreements/contract between Hot Toys and Disney with stringent stipulations, responsibilities as well as penalties applied to both party in case one fail to carry out/violate certain conditions stated in that contract. Furthermore, it tends to be a one -year agreement, after that period both sides will negotiate the terms to extend the deal, and of course Hot Toys has to pay **** load of $$$ to the Mouse in order to maintain the license. Most importantly, SW brand is longer the golden goose, Marvel is.... market for SW merchandises is heavily stagnated right now, no rational and sober business organizations will jump in to "take over" SW license.. definitely not in this state lol.

There was a golden age when Star Wars merchandise seemed endless. Then came the dark times - 1986-1995.

Since 1995 it's seemed inconceivable that the constant flow of merchandise would ever stop. Star Wars was here to stay.

But maybe winter is coming again...
